These two-bit gamingo windowlicking fucks shut down my favorite game ever, and then insult me by churning out this garbage.

So I have to stand by and watch as this- thing... wanders around with my best friends face stapled over it like a mask.

Gamingo, please go under. To say you are the worst would be only a slight overstatement given the current state of the gaming industry, and you only really lose out because the competition is insane.

I read this expecting a game in the universe of Wizardry's favorite shitty survival game.

I got a game in the universe of a more unique game that no one cared about.

If you read the first post someone cared a whole lot about the game's universe that this is in ;)

Yeah, I guess so. But those player numbers were not good.

I tried it (or some other turn-based MOBA?) and found it too slow-paced (glacial, really) for my liking. I like turn-based strategy, but they tend to have problems with pacing in multiplayer.

Legit lol'd at the line "windowlicking fucks."

I liked Atlas Reactor a lot - it had a high learning curve that was a turnoff for masses - the player numbers weren't good because it was a very niche game, that had very limited appeal due to the learning curve.

Atlas Reactor was built for a nerd-niche - it never stood a chance as a mass-appeal game.
So you are saying Gloria Victis is like Atlas Reactor?
Well except for the fact that GV was released on steam EA in June 2016 and isnt shutdown and still has people playing it and AR was released in October 2016 and was shutdown due to low player count?
Would seem to me GV has better devs.

The same should theoretically true for all MOBAs, not just Atlas Reactor. But, here we are.

Just bring back Reactor already. That game did not have to shut down. Would've been a great game for mobile crossplay too if they had released a mobile version.

They could've kept it up without ever adding anything to it ever again like so many other games on Steam. Keep ONE dev if needed like WAR did.

There is a thread on Steam forums about how much people would pay to play it again. I bought the $20 pack but would gladly pay that again even without all the extras like cosmetics. A bare bones version without those quests and loot boxes just queue and play.

Well I sort of disagree - because other mobas - like LoL, Dota2 have familiar moba playtstyles - Atlas Reactor didn't play anything like LoL or Dota, nor Smite which had a different yet familiar playstyle.

The first time anyone played Atlas Reactor - it was the same experience of - how the hell do you play this the right way? Even after many play sessions - players still had a feeling of being lost - this is why very few stuck with the game longterm.
Those other mobas didn't launch with people naturally understanding them. They weren't familiar when the first ones were being released.

From my perspective, League in particular was about 10x more fun when people didn't understand it. Its metagame has become too stagnant and codified.
