it is actually hilarious how I am unable to get hyped again for this. i am not even really aware of what it is stopping me, but I just can't.

part of me feels because deep down inside, I feel like they're just gonna do it again. I've taken days off, set aside money for months to make sure I had enough to just chill out with snacks and beer and every single time I have done without in prep- it's been for nothing.

I cannot. Won't. put myself through that again. I realized yesterday when I took my spare change and got me an ice cream cone ( money I would normally save up in prep ) that the hype train was just.. over. and it's not coming back, no matter what they do.

in the end, all I gotta say is this game had better be flawless (it won't be) or these guys might be out of a job. cannot even image what its like for people with families who have been dealing with the pandemic and who knows what else all year. Im one of the lucky ones, even, and Im still just done with all.

Well, due to the continual delays, they've had to string out the promotional hype far longer than intended.   Personally looking forward to it, but Project RED had better release it this time.  They're obviously getting  diminishing returns, imo.

It rankles more that this last delay was to fix issues with the previous gen of consoles.  Apparantly everything else was ready to go.

If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

I guess I'm the other Case here. I wasn't really planning on getting the game until after it released. But with the delays it so happens I just went through a complete update of my gaming system for other reasons, MSFS2020. So this is now lining up to be a great title to get into during the long winter nights.

I'm actually watching CP2077 videos I had ignored when they came out and generally am looking forward to the game. Although I don't pre-order anything anymore, so that is fine.
