Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.
I find the entire COD series done by treyarch to be not as good as the prior developers,so typically the Black Ops stuff is a bit weaker.
As to Valhalla,i didn't find it too impressive at all but then again i am not into that whackamole combat and even worse if it is THAT easy.
Struggling to keep a game running as mentioned with COD is definitely something worth noting,i sometimes lose it when i get game crashes over and over.
Typically though the COD series through the years has been pretty good, looks like a professional team made the games. My only gripe is i prefer more open ended gameplay,i don't like any kind of gaming on rails.Valhalla is just as bad with the lights guiding players to vee line in that direction.
For the most parts devs are REALLY bad at immersion but the COD series usually draws me in ...at times.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Preach it.
lol Don't think I haven't threatened it. =P In all seriousness, I think consoles do make sense in a lot of situations. An uncle who builds you a solid rig on request is not one of those situations, though!
Opinions are always valid because their subjective and that's just how it is.
Something to consider, though. Even though the combat is the core mechanic that's followed AC game to game, I don't think you should look at the combat as being the game. The reality is that the game is the story and the combat is just that little something to do while you give the story time to develop.
In general, I'd be right there with you. I don't find it particularly skill based or really challenging. I could crank the difficulty and I might, but that's not why I enjoy the games. I like that the worlds a beautifully created and that there are tons of little stories that fly under the radar dotted all over the place. AC (for me) is really about enjoying craftsmanship more than playing a game.
I tried playing with my controller. I have a buddy that says that's the way the game is meant to be played, but it just didn't do it for me. I switched back to mouse and keyboard and I'm really preferring it that way.
Kids are not always that socially aware, but there is no way from the description of your reaction he could not have realised that something was up.
This has made my day, but don't worry in the long run he will realise that to become an adult he has to play games only on a PC, we all have to grow up sometime.
I don't know how people use controllers for these games, it is beyond my level of comprehension as a lifetime PC gaming enthusiast. I have literally only used a controller for one type of game, football. The last one being Madden 2008 lol. M/KB will always be the go-to for me, designed for it or not lol. I don't even own a controller anymore.
