Marvel's Avengers has had a tumultuous post-launch, but in the latest War table, Crystal Dynamics gives a release date for their first new character, Kate Bishop. The bow-wielding, purple wearing, female Hawkeye will have her own story that will kick off Season 1's new chapter.

Maybe when they announce another 5-6 different Villains added along with 3-4 different factions of enemies and a revamp of their loot system I will give this game a try again.
I just can't see myself hyped to play this when I know I'll be fighting nothing but Adaptoids.
It's hard to believe such a huge franchise and they have 2 bosses and the exact same enemies in every single map.
I have a rule of thumb that i have carried since the first day i started gaming,NEVER even think about playing a licensed IP brand. The cost of licensing usually is so high that the rest of the game will be nothing but a cash grab banking they will sell simply off the brand and not on merit.
Then we realize that MOST people buy games on a whim, example they see Cyberpunk's marketing video and everyone is like "i am buying this".So in reality these devs can sell anything because people buy these games before they see them.
With so many shills and streamers/media getting free copies ahead of the crowd people can easily see actual game play BEFORE having to buy the games.
Even still i look around see the WORST cheapest game designs in ARPG's and BR's and LOL type games and yet those games make millions and few complaining,go figure.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
This is actually embarassing.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

The game is losing so much money right now they have to use ad revenue on their promotional material and trailers to recoup the money.
That's bad man... that's really... really bad.
About fighting only robot mobs.. It's dumb but SE prob didn't want to spend any more for licensing. Marvel prob thought money bags SE would offer them more $$$ for another mob but didn't. SE prob thought because the game had some Marvel characters already it would sell regardless.
About Kate Bishop.. seriously who at SE & Marvel thought anyone cares about Kate Bishop... so many other great female characters but my guess is again the licensing cost. She was prob the most budget female character they could get... but don't worry... Hawkeye is next....
SE - "What can we get fo 5 dolla?"
Marvel - "Kate Bishop"
SE - "Deal"
There are many different angles to why certain things happened with this game but one thing to remember is that whatever deals made between Marvel & SE happened YEARS before 2020 and the lockdown. The recent drop in prices in Marvel mobile games with sales tells me that years ago they were making bank on everything with a Marvel tag and were probably very greedy when working out deals for their IP. Now games are one of the last steady sources of income for them so that's one good thing at least.
Bah, too bad Marvel Heroes had to jump the shark after Brevik left and then closed down.
They want to create a fresh story, but they've done it at such a snails pace...
Prior to launch they actually said "you'll be surprised how quickly we release characters" and now it's as if getting one character out with any story is a miracle.
Guess this pretty much says it all, no profits made yet and already on sale.
