Yoshi gets my nod for making the game worse than it started. He has/had the power to change it.

Ilevels is not his idea but the worst blemish on ANY mmo ever. The number 1 thing in a mmo is YOU and YOUR character and NOT how good your gear is.Once it becoems about Ilevels you might as well toss the player away because the gear matters and you really don't.

Flying....lame,i have always hated flying in ANY game be it a shooter or a rpg doesn't matter, defeats the purpose of designing a map.It really showed it's ugly face in Aion.

I can't stand when people talk about SLOW,if you want instant end game then just ask Square to sell it to you I am sure they would.IMO levels have always been TOO fast, they should represent your aging at the very least ,since they don't really represent anything at all and just used as a lockout mechanic for gear.

The combat design COULD have been improved, the original team tried so hard to be different than FFXI to warrant selling a new game that they ruined combat AND the class design badly.Yoshi has done NOTHING to improve on those areas.

Dailies, yep more WOW copying, again thanks Square/Yoshi,if I wanted to play Wow I would play Wow.Dailies are a LAZY form of content and do not represent what a character would be role playing in a world.I guess Yoshi and Square forgot what the letters RPG means they were so busy trying to copy Wow ideas.

Oh we struggled out of the gate for several reasons, let's panic send out memos "no more creativity, just copy Wow".I used to love playing Square Enix games but that studio has gone south in a real hurry and NO this Yoshi dude is not helping matters.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

For The Praetorium LB is sometimes used by ranged DPS at beginning of each boss encounter as an opening move.

As to the use of Limit Break in the Praetorium, I seen it mostrly used at the begining of the Nero fight. As to Wizardry, I guess FFXIV is not the kind of game you care much for. I like it fine. Then I'm not hard to please nor am I a hard core MMO player.

Dude, thanks to Yoshida FFXIV it is what it is today (existing with tons of players, despite your hateful post). Saying Yoshida is not helping matters - you obviously doesn't have even the slightest idea about FFXIV at all. Flying in Realm Reborn is absolutely necessary for vet players. Just because you don't like it, doesn't make it an valid argument.

FFXIV copying WoW? When? Just because it has dalies? For real now?

Uno reverse for you; Go check Torghast in WoW - > Palace of the Dead, Heaven on High. In fact, WoW is copying FFXIV for about 3-4 years already, and it steals ideas - a lot of it.

Yoshida is one of the few ppl in the gaming industry that does a lot for it's company, but I totally understand now. There has to be ppl like you, and despite the efforts, there has to be one that have to shit on everything holy.

Have a nice day/evening, and try to come out of the hateful loop of yours, before saying such a nonsense about Yoshida, or the company.

Basically clicking away text windows ruins every MMO, try to have fun instead of rushing things. Without story and lore all there is left is a bunch of mechanics.

I quit after I realized that literally every person has the same charcter, meaning there is no difference between any one, other than minor looks. I cant handle games like that, makes the game feel shallow to me. I do like creating looks on charcters but that is definitely secondary. I'd rather have a game like path of exile where the charters are limitless and different but all look the same. Guess dungeons and dragons online, and eso spoiled me in being able to create what ever kind of charcter I wanted.

The ff14 fourms just told me its fine cause every one just follows other peoples builds, but that is def not true for me. I do what ever I want with a build regardless if some one thinks it is garbage and I should copy theirs.

I totally wish there were more character customization options.

I think they just hate everything in general. Lol flying is one of the number 1 thing FFXIV people wanted literally no one complains that there is flying. Sounds like they more or less like Bless Online, Tera or even BDO which is fine but the hate seems a little to strong with this one.

I was not impressed one iota with FFXIV.....Not a fan of themepark MMOs on rails.

Love the art design, love the characters, love the story, hate the dungeons and dungeon requirements for advancement in the msq. Don’t know if I’ll ever finish storm blood. Having too much fun with Paimon atm. She’s so cute and funny!

As to "why Limsa?", it is geographically the furthest from both of the other starting cities, and is therefore the most expensive to teleport to from either of them, or their outlying areas. For this reason, it makes sense to have LL be set as your return point or free destination, since it will be your most expensive city to tp to from about 2/3rds of the ARR zones

I honestly used Ul'dah because I turned in a lot of gear for seals and eventually changed to Crystarium for obvious ShB-related simplicity reasons. Might swap back to Ul'dah again soon.

Mine is The Golden Saucer because you can get to most main city locations cheap from there; as well as Ul'dah for free.
