Even though I don't play EQ nor EQ2 much anymore I hope this doesn't affect my accounts negatively. I hope this EG7 treats it's new customers well, or even better, than DayBreak/DarkPaw.
Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be the first game, in a long time, I buy soon after release. I'm looking forward to it with fingers crossed. I'm hoping that CD Projekt Red is the future of game developers.
If you hope Cyberpunk will be the game for you then you likely have low standards. This is not the first of this type of game for them, this is like idk the 5th ion the series or something like that. They are just rehashing the same old platform which means all they have to do is reskin it and make some new cutscenes. It even has the same basic layout as the past games so the yare not even trying to be creative or new..
Anyhow enough with CDprojekt,i don't see them as being much of anything.
I don't see this new owner as really doing anything much with the DBG purchase, just a business deal and continued expansions.
I also believe this deal was in the works long ago but there is likely some legal issues with that so was kept a secret.I mean the division into 3 new studios just made ZERO sense but was maybe part of the deal for EG7 to acquire the business. So imo the restructuring is already done, all you can expect now is maybe someone is appointed to oversee the operations at the 3 studios. What i bet happens just happened at another giant studio and that is i bet these 3 studios are consolidated back into one within 2 years.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
