This week Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem released their latest chronicle titled Bloodtrail which includes some major additions to the game, including Hunts, Chronicle rewards, Pets, new Active Skills Modifiers and much more.

    So until they add more Story content I am not sure its worth a reload, extra game modes are cool but there is too much out there to play to come back for a few cosmetics..

    I am saddened by this game. They promised the world like all devs do then gave us just another run of the mill ARPG. I mean they did a 180 on what they promised the original backers before they had to change the name of the game. Don't get me wrong it isn't a bad game just not the game the devs sold the backers on. Rather boot up Last Epoch over this one and it isn't even finished yet.

    Great update been hammering away at this , along with Last Epochs Rogue update ..

      Wolcen is alot more fun at this point ..

    They've totally mismanaged this Season launch.  As far as I can tell, they only gave people a tiny hint via their Discord.  They also made the mistake of launching it right with a POE event and a Last Epoch update.

    They need to learn to communicate these launches.  Why make a trailer when you release it with basically no notice to potential players.

    This game is trash and don't think they can fix it.

    Last Epoch is going a similar route and I'd be surprised if it ever becomes decent.

    I don't believe that the people complaining have actually played the new patch. Like others said it's actually nice right now.

    The Steam reviews for this game are next level brutal makes me feel bad for the devs.. It REALLY can't be that bad? right? You'd also think the game was abandoned with the way some people talk about it. Seems like it's either love or hate with nothing in between.

    I liked the game. I have seen the cult hatred state the game has achieved on Steam. Don't believe everything you read.

    this update was ridiculous! managed to overcome Vikings Wolves of Midgard, all their efforts in the previous game were thrown in the trash, their old character enters LEGACY mode which has no access to "new game functions" and cannot play with new characters! Pet ... just visual new mechanics ... a "tracking system" that benefits from adding difficulties in the game to "new currency" introduced to the game that has the same function as the normal currency ... new builds joke ... enable 2 new skins for armor! while you have 10 ancient armor with different names using the same skin! craft ui .... nothing more than the old item enchantment system, before you played the enchantment pattern on the item and that's it, now you have a window where you have to throw both the item and the enchantment material. .. just more work, real difference is that now it shows you a LOT of smooth RANDOM possibilities! if you are thinking of spending your money on Wolcen .... buy Last Epoch, this is evolving much better, Wolcen (umbra project) and Torchlight 3 were the biggest disappointments of the year for me in the ARPGs ...

    Then you realise they didnt actually add anything nice, more bugs were introduced and your characters? Cant use those in new content anyway because fuck you.

    Yes... if this game needed one last nail in the coffin, this was it.

    That's exactly how POE leagues works.  the point of seasons is for everyone to start over fresh.  I'm sure at the end of the season all characters will migrate to that legacy area.

    They said they were making Leagues while skills were broken, game breaking bugs were still out there (specific monsters would crash game when hit for example), and the tooltips on the skills didn't even clearly say what they did. They also "fixed" the same jeweler bug three times in a row.

    Then they said they would spend time fixing the game and give us monthly updates. They gave two updates which were mostly "fixed bug" and text fixes.

    Then they went silent for Months. Literally nothing. Their last post said they were working on their end for this new content and working on a new approach to communication. A new approach to communicating, by not communicating at all.

    The company is just hot garbage lol. I backed the kickstarter and got my $15 worth but for sure some people feel burned spending full price on it.

    I bought Wolcen while it was in early access and I played it in offline mode so my problems were greatly reduced. I enjoyed it a lot and I am looking forward to playing this new patch. I love the graphics style and I think the story is pretty good. It was buggy I have to admit but the way the game is attacked on steam puzzles me. I don't think the game deserves this much criticism.
