WoW is getting rather boring after playing it for roughly 18 months nonstop, so yeah, I'm looking for a new MMO, and I have a few questions.
1. How many hours would you say it takes to level up after, say, level 20-30ish? Is there still good raiding content at those levels?
2. PvP. Describe it. Is it instanced, is it world PvP, is there a point to it!? Also, is it the kind of thing where I'll get ganked 24/7 and learn to hate it?
3. How's the economy in this game? Personally, I really liked how SWG's economy was pretty much run by the players, is this game similar?
4. Lots of items and weapons? Do guilds have uber-requirments to get in?
5. Say I tried out EQ2 first, can I transfer my character from their to the expansion pack?
6. Er, that's all for now. Thanks in advance. Feel free to add anything that would make me want to play this game, btw :P

1. How many hours to level 20-30.
Well, doesn't take long, as a new player maybe 3-4 days to make level 20. Levels 20-30 will take a lot longer depending on a lot of factors; PvP or non-PvP, population of server, your playstyle, etc.
2. Is there good raiding content at 1-30.
No, you won't begin to see much raid content till 50+. Around 50 there's five or six good instanced raid zones as well as some contested. (If you can find a guild who still does them.)
3. PvP
Yes, you will get ganked a LOT. There is a point to it, you gain status, earn titles, fame, fortune.. that whole thing. My major complaint with PvP is since this game was intended to be PvE the class balancing is nearly non-existant, some classes dominate and others stink.
4. Economy
Really depends on the server, but in general I cannot complain about the economy. On servers that have been around a long time the lower level items will be either; A. hard to find or B. overly expensive. The PvP servers (since they're new) have the best enonomy for a new player in my opinion.
5. Do guilds have uber requirements to get in?
Depends on the guild, if you want a highly active raiding guild generally you'll have to be 70+ and fit into their need. If you want a more casual, questing, family guild I'm sure you can find one pretty easily.
6. Can I transfer my character from their expansion pack?
You can buy the game and update your existing account using the CD key. If you only need the expansion you can purchase them digitally via SOE's website.
Get the KoS pack, there is EQ2 with. Then you only need DoF
And yes all depending on what server your on there's ganking, but remember when you reach 15+ you can also go out and own other people.
I have also played WoW for a looooong time, so i started to play EQ2 again, started a fury and is now hooked on the game, im playing roughly 5 hours a day, more the days im off work.
