Reviews are subjective....when will you people learn that simple fact? You can disagree with a review, but to the writer if the game is a 9/10 then it is a 9/10 lol. Write your own review and score it whatever you want. No one is wrong.
Not a single bug? My game crashes every few minutes. It's unplayable to me and I'm on PC with a fairly strong PC. Nothing to brag about however. How many hours of play time have you logged? How far did you get? If the game would simply stop crashing I may have finished it by now.
I wanted this to be good. The graphics and presentation of the main story are awesome. Everything everyone says about all the extra objectives and crafting kinda being useless is right. The NPC AI is very lacking. This could have been expanded to be a better 'open world' game or they could have cut the fat and made this a great cinematic story experience but, as it stands, it falls just short of being a great game. Oh and the fact that tripping on rocks one shots you in Wastelander story
It's awesome the way Crysis was awesome. It's a good game and a technical showcase.
Personally, I found the crafting worthwhile. Maybe that's because I'm focused on the Quickhacking sub-tree though. And I'm sure the various rare/epic/legendary QH skills are somewhere out there for sale but I haven't found them. So I've at least been able to upgrade my chips to purples now. Contagion, Overheat, and Short Circuit get spammed and then I can run out to clean up with a gun or sword. Heck, I decided I would even do some old school skilling up and now run in barehanded and punch 'em.
So you run a bunch of articles saying that the game is terrible because of this, that, and the other, and then the review calls it a 9/10?
They way they do it is that they have different people review the game and the review is based on "their" experiences. So the complete opposite can also be true.
They don't ask you to skew the review at all, they just ask you to review it and you are free to do it as you see fit.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
I'm glad to read CDPR's PC bug killing efforts have started to pay off apparently. The quality of a game on a single platform (PC) is what most of us want to have evaluated. However, CDPR's deceptive practices -which they have admitted- is another despicable matter.

Can you show an example where complete opposite happened on this site?
Because for as long as I remember mmorpg scores were 2 points higher than average - which is again what happened here.
But again if you read the complains in part 1 and part 2 - it is obviously not a 9/10 review.
Its as if whatever was written has zero influence on the score - they could have said - this is the most broken AAA game ever and still given it a 9/10
This review exposes mmorpg.com reviews as a complete farce
Actually, the PC version rates an 8.6 on Metacritic so this review is perfectly in line with the rest. Its 2 points higher then YOUR average which is out of sync with the general consensus. Of course reviews have been “bought” and you aren’t bitter because you got caught up in the hype. Yes, they sold you a dream, but you’re still the one who dreamt it, hook, line and sinker. The review definitely isn’t a complete farce, you just really want it to be. Look at how petty you sound, its a color that doesn’t suit you.

Perhaps they're saying that its best to play it before judging it based on what other people are saying? /shrug
A review that amounts to, "we have no idea whether the game is any good or not and think you should pay $60 and spend some hours playing it to find out" is a terrible review.
I'm saying that either a bunch of previous articles about problems were massively overblown or else a 9/10 is way too high of a rating. It's possible that it's just a difference of opinion, as the people who wrote the other articles think the game is awful and the reviewer thinks it's great. But it's weird for a site to have the news section fighting with the review section like that.
Great review Shank, the game was easily a 9/10 for me as well. I could add 5 or 6 things to the con list and I'd still say its 9/10 game. I also had a relatively bug free experience with no crashes in my 75 hrs of play but I also started off pretty underwhelmed by this game. From the driving, to the combat, the stupid AI, the skill trees, most of the gameplay fell short or extremely short of my expectations. But what I didn't expect is to become so immersed in the world. In my opinion this is the greatest character driven game I've ever played. And I know character stuff is very subjective, but God damn, they all felt so real to me and heavily influenced how I played. I meant to originally play as an sociopathic corpo but I almost always chose the path good because I want to see these characters happy and when I didn't I actually felt guilty (I'm so sorry Judy) I'm sure people get these same feelings from other games but this is one of the very few that hit me. I have always been a, gameplay first story second, kind of guy but Cyberpunk flipped the script on me and may have changed my mind. Thats not to say the gameplay is bad but it is certainly lacking.
So is it fair to give a game a 9/10 that I felt had lacking gameplay? Probably not. But Last of Us was widely recognized as a 10/10 and its gameplay also wasn't breaking any new ground, and TLoU2 was "game of the year"... so yea Cyberpunk a 9/10 seems quite fair to me. I love it. Also just to garner some hate, I'll say this... Fo my money Cyberpunk > The Witcher 1,2,3 & Netflix
I love the game and in 16 hours I've only seen a single bug... I don't deny they exist but I think allot of them are being caused by hardware and incorrect settings for that hardware, especially on the gpu end.
Im playing on high to ultra at 3200x1800 (4k display) with ray tracing features on, rt lighting on medium and DLSS on balanced and I'm getting 60fps 95% of the time.
My specs.. nothing special
i7 5820k (6 cores @ 4.4ghz)
32 gigs ddr4 2400mhz (quad channel which helps)
2080ti ftw3 ultra (+170 core, +1400 mem)
Game running on an nvme SSD
Win10 install on a different ssd and swap file on yet another ssd.
Planning on upgrading to a 5900x and probably a 3080ti by March. Was going to get a 6900xt but while amd has essentially closed the performance gap they are still new to ray tracing so they need to mature there...but so does nVidia quite honestly.
A game made by a company that acts disingenuous towards customers and lying to their investors and customers doesn't deserve a 9/10. Integrity of the company matters and should 100% be factored into a review score, especially when these scores are used as a determination for some if they're going to spend their hard-earned money on the product or wait until it's cheaper.
Opinions are exactly that though, even if Cyberpunk was bug-free I wouldn't personally give it above a 7 out of 10 (whatever that number is supposed to mean). It's an average game through and through, with a decent enough cyberpunk story attached to it. That's about all though.
There isn't a single thing that is going to elevate this story or the game itself to be the pinnacle of gaming. I suspect by next year we won't hear much about Cyberpunk anymore, unless CDPR decides to get themselves into another debacle and shit on their customers a little more.
9/10 score must have been for the story and the cool looking world alone, even San Andreas npc a.i. is smarter
Man I was scouring the internet to see what was going to happen to me for not telling Dexter DeShawn that Evelyn was going to betray him and it turns out nothing, not a damn thing regardless what you did.
