Guess they didn't want to do a punk and release to bad feedback. I like the free demo to make up for it. ???????

I really do hope that this will be the quality 3rd person looter that Anthem and Marvel's Avengers failed to be.

Without PVP these games are dead in 1-2 months, big examples Anthem, Marvel's Avengers, Godfall.

Games like Destiny2 and The Division guess why? They both have a PVE and PVP Content.

I know I will get attack by pve fanatics now.

Yes, because what Anthem and Marvel's Avengers desperately needed was PvP. It definitely wasn't a functioning loot system or more than a handful of endgame missions to repeat ad nauseum.  :D

Warframe proves your statement false because it flourishes and no one plays its PvP. No one. Not a damn soul.

Also, have no fear. The only people who attack others are PvP fanatics. Namely, they like attacking low level noobs who just want to farm mobs undisturbed.

Why the (Seriously)? Games get delayed. There is a slow down in every industry because of Covid. I think we need to start seeing developers as just humans, like the rest of us. Makes it worse, they are driven harder then they should be. so giving companies guff on a game being late, most likely means someone will not be seeing much of their parents for a while.

The (seriously) was put there because the new date is April Fool's Day.

Well, Destiny and The Division also had really great foundations that worked well. Anthem wasn't just lacking PvP it was also lacking a story that was fun to follow and it lacked a ton of optimization / ease of use options that made it almost unplayable for me (just to switch a weapon I had to go back to base load in, go into the hub to replace parts and load again, load back into the main base, and then finally load back into the mission all while loading took like 2 minutes each time on my SSD).

What PvP fanatics willfully ignore is that whether a game is successful or unsuccessful has approximately fuck all to do with its game type. It's about how well it caters to the audience it does have.

If my mindset were like his, I could say that games like Lawbreakers, Crucible, Rocket Arena, etc. failed because they lacked PvE.

Considering this is more like Borderlands with a Destiny skin to it, it should be just fine without PvP. The one thing the games you mentioned have issues with is balance.

I'm all for PvP'ers get some love from the Devs, as long as the servers are separate.

Games like this should utterly avoid PvP, in my opinion. It's always a crazy imbalanced mess and it divides the dev time to try and bring it in line with PvE content.

The PVP crowd in regular MMOs and MMOlites are actually annoying, toxic and better off in Call of Duty where they can be themselves and leave the people who play the game for the content alone.

Warframe is a fantastic example of this.

So is Final Fantasy 14 - there is barely any PvP in that as well and the little bit that is, is because people want the mounts.

TL:DR PvP is a joke and people who praise it are the worst in most cases.
