Earlier this month, we learned that EA will no longer keep its exclusivity on Star Wars games, with Disney's announcement of a long-term collaboration with Ubisoft. This shift away from EA exclusive Star Wars games blows the doors wide open with possibilities.

So in essence.let's just flood the market with the SW brand and see what sticks to the wall.
I very highly doubt there will be much quality control, instead a DATE,a time line to get a product out. Then when times coems you'll see the obvious,a direct date meaning it will be pushed out no matter what state the game is in.
I am not a fan of Blizzard but one thing they do right is business. They would keep a lid on the entire idea and first look at the product to see if they should even let it out into the public. They did it with Ghost and Titan until of course it got leaked.
I am not even a fan of Ubisoft,i have no faith in their ability to make the IP great. What is there even left to do for this type of game,it's already been done, you can only do the pew pew light saber so many times.
.
IDK maybe they are smarter than i give them credit, maybe the yare just creating a competition, pitting one studio against the other to see who does the best work.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
...without the scam part.
I'm with ya here! What was it about this game that made/makes it great? Would it work in a new version or is it nostalgia? Are modern developers missing the point?
1 - Defense tower game were you build and operate a new death star.
2 - galactic civ 3 with an official star wars version
3 - Arpg sent in the star wars universe. Classes can be like jedi, sith, bounty hunter, scoundrel.
4 - New rpg is obvious, but stay FAAAAR AWAY from the high republic nonsense. I gave it a try and its trash.
5 - I'd like a game that let's you play as vader. Taking over systems, force choking your own men. Seems like fun!!
I self identify as a monkey.
Don't the NFL have one of theirs on EA's board as a director, so that's not happening any time soon? I looked into this the other year, EA have only one director with any sort of gaming background, but that's likely the way all the AAA gaming studios directorships are now.
Star Wars will continue to live in the hearts of the fans. Not in the minds of those who just bought it to be able to milk it. As with any milking cow it will "die" fast.
No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please.

I'll stick with SWG:L, i'm confident if they made a SWG2 there wouldn't be cantinas there would only be cash shops on every corner.
It was alive. Everything was interconnected. Everyone helped the game be what it is. It had all the tools players needed to build it and keep it going. I want a game to just live in. You could totally ignore everyone, yet you still needed everyone. It had a lot of "time sinks" that were based around social aspects that games today lack and will forever lack until I see such a game come out.
