In a livestream today on Twitch, New Zealand-based developer Grinding Gear Games announced Path of Exile's next expansion, Echoes of the Atlas. The new content is releasing rather quickly, coming to PC next week on the 15th, while console players will be waiting till the 20th.

    Now this is what you call an expansion! Almost have my core pack paid off for last year.

    Wasn't as impressed by this year's core packs till I saw the accompanied expansion content.

    It makes sense now, probably will grab those as well at some point.

    It's all because of the founders and their core philosophies.  They did luck out that D3 was such a dumpster fire before RoS.  But they have so much momentum and good will that even D4 is unlikely to impact them long term after it launches.
