Bethesda released a new video detailing the next update headed to Fallout 76, aptly named the 'Inventory Update'. The new update will increase the stash box size from 800 to 1200lbs, a feature that players have been requesting since the game released back in November of 2018.

Total Easymode for sure, almost P2W even, and yet another sad attempt from Bethesda to pad their pockets with more Atom Shop sales. ;)

Except that.... it's none of those, but I had to feed the haters this morning.  :)

Increase in stash limit is sorely needed as several items have been added since launch such as improved stash kits and legendary modules which can amount to considerable weight in quantity, I have well over 135 pounds of stash kits alone, similar for the modules.

Fast traveling cost caps and nothing more annoying to see a player vendor tab say there's 30 weapons for sale but after going there finding nary a legendary weapon in the bunch, which means a wasted trip. I used to drop explosive bait and damage their camps but Bethesda disabled it from doing so anymore.  >:)

Extra stash tab organizers I'm ambivalent to, well except that unlike POE I don't have to pay cash money for them, seems Bethesda missed an opportunity here, go figure.  :D

I actually did not even look at the changes, every time I see QOL on here I am now going to ask this question of people who play the game. I do regard QOL as the heading where designers put in all the "making it easy mode" updates which of course they do not like to admit. That said obviously most changes under the QOL banner are not going to be easymode.

Stash limits is a money raking exercise, can't be sure if its a freebie or Cash Shop buy from what's said, but to me that's not easymode.

The rest seems to be interface updates that certainly don't seem to be easymode, but I think its worth flagging this every time as we do have posters on here who do not think MMOs get easier the longer they are out.

800 pounds was simply not enough...I don't even have spare weapons or armor in mine and constantly have to destroy stuff to stay below 800. In our homes especially, there should be no weight limit....It's like saying you can only hold 800 pounds of stuff in your RL home.

It's a good update with some sorely needed and requested improvements. There are some long requested features still missing, like an overhauled trade interface, a perk loadout manager, a real way to trade items between characters on the same account, and removing character bound locks for equipment like Secret Service armor, but overall a very welcome update. Here's hoping they don't break more than they fix....
Grr....perk loadout manager, a pet peeve of mine, only missing feature I've actually considered installing unsanctioned mods for, wonder if this is still on the table?

Of all the bugs and other broken stuff the main reason i quit was how sick i got of playing an inventory management game. This is way overdue.

Increased inventory is always good and pack rats like me will be over the moon. More things to collect and soon all that extra room is gone...poof!

Did I ever mention how much I usually hate holiday events in games?

This one looks to be no exception.

I am not switching cards to a melee build, especially not without the previously mentioned perk card manager.

I dislike that narrative people keep pushing around here. What is "Easymode" define that?

because in this context of FO76 I dont see how this makes the game easier at all, just less annoying.

I know for me personally, I was close to capped in storage space so much so, that it would limit what gameplay I would do, and where I do it, since I could easily get burden from finding a  good loot drop that I would have to walk back to a store or camp.

Also this game design was bad for when I didnt want to play in my Power armor and just wanted to run around without it. But that extra carry weight was needed, if you use lots of heavy weapons or salvage a lot.
