Interesting alternative to free trials...

So I have been looking for a new MMO to hold me over until either WoW's expansion comes out or LOTRO comes out.  So I have been looking at games and I was like, why not The Matrix Online, since I have tried pretty much every other MMO there is.  I thought about d/l the 14day free trial but I instead decided to just go to Best Buy and purchase the full version since.  I picked it up and on the box it said 19.99.  I took it to the cash register, the girl scanned it, and the price came up, a penny!  Wow, so I get to try out a game that I may or may not like, for a whole month for a penny!  Can't beat that can you?  My friend was with me and he bought the last copy for the same price.  Sadly though, since the game did cost a penny, that may tell me something about whether I will like it or not, but still, a freaking penny I mean come on!

    Keep in mind that most stores will not give you a refund once you've opened the box.

    Yea but who cares if he only purchased the retail box for a penny. LOL. Nice grab even if you don't play it for more than a month. Can't beat a software title for a penny!

    Dang it!  I knew there was a catch!  I played it last night and I have to admit it wasn't as bad as I had expected it to be.  I don't completely understand it yet, but it is a nice change of pace, and plus, it only cost a penny!

    The crazy thing is on the box it said 19.99.  So that is what I expected to pay.  When the cashier scanned and told me it was a penny, that is when I found out.  It was funny.
