    "We have started development for platforms beyond mobile, but we're not quite ready for announcements yet."

    This may mean the tick system finally goes away and we get a huge UI revamp. I can't see any possible way things remain as they currently are outside of PC and mobile.

    One of their new directors coming from Carlyle Group is Mr. Niccolo de Masi who is a big mobile gambling advocate, as you can see from his 2012 pocketgamer.biz interview. Runescape's playerbase is already annoyed with the excessive pay2win content that Jagex keeps trying to add to the game, devaluing their hard earned achievements so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming months.
