It looks so similar to Neverwinter that I feel like I am just watching top-down Neverwinter.

This gameplay video definately is looking more crisp than previous videos. Looks like they added alot of polish.

I love MTG and I hope Magic legends does well.
However after playing today I sure hope it doesn't get released in a similar state to what I've played, because that's not gonna be a good first impression if it does.

Somebody mentioned they were "looking at Neverwinter".
So i was going to completely ignore this then thought..hmmm who made Neverwinter>>>Cryptic lol.

So then i tripped over to You Tube and i see a video by kira TV.It has been a VERY long time since i played NW but what i saw looked VERY familiar, the desert map looked identical to the one in i think is NW.
It does look to me like a rehash of the same basic game just slapping a new skin of MTG stuff on to it.So it looks like a real cheap lazy design here. That wasn't all ,then i noticed the UI in that video and although looks different visually it is the same basic weak design...again.

So this just looks like a very lazy effort here by Cryptic but i wouldn't doubt this was an arrangement agreed upon to cut the cost of development.
They CLAIM like they all do "we won't sell power".

I have seen very little but what i see is perhaps hey can use the claim of "power" but what i see is most likely selling "advancement".This is why yo ushould NEVER accept a cash shop becauyse they can bait you in with what seems like a fair arrangement then after they have you hooked they make the content only viable if you pay.
I mean just use common sense, how are they going to get you to buy something useless? Then yo ushould realize the "Perfect World" is also behind this ,so don't trust anything these guys are selling.

"Only on the EPIC Game Store".... Well I guess I'll not be playing this during the Open Beta. EPIC hosed me pretty good a while ago and I don't want anything to do with the EPIC platform. I'll wait for it to come out on Steam.

you can by pass epic, just use their perfect world direct launcher it's called arc. you just don't get the free epic bundle that's all.

    This.

While I dont mind very rarely getting an EPIC-exclusive singleplayer game on the EPIC store with keeping in mind that I will probably play through it only once, I am not keen on having much multiplayer and/or long-term (aka valuable) games on there for sure.
Gonna stick with the Arc launcher for this one :D

I might add... as it will probably use an seperate account from EPIC when starting the game (Due to it needing that for crossplay) ... cant you do the same as you can with for example Apex legends (When it released on Steam and gave away items) aka... download it through epic, get the pack and log in. Then go back to Arc... and as your account ofcourse is the same, you keep the items?

    We will see

Oh... if it will be available with ARC I'll do it. I already have the launcher for that. Thank you.

I wonder if you can claim the exclusive EGS pack then delete the Epic client and just play through ARC or is your account tied to the platform?

Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?

Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

Cryptic/PWI and on the EGS? Hard pass.

Was thinking the same yeah. If it uses an seperate ingame account then that should be possible

People don't want to adjust to new online market places.  It was the same thing when steam launched years ago and the struggles people had with basic requirements of it as well.  Epic isn't going anywhere.

Must admit to being slightly wary considering the collaboration.

Most likely separate. Ofc can't be sure until the actual launch, but if they don't make any changes and follow Neverwinter's implementation (which appeared on EGS last year), then it will be separate. I know people were pissed they can't buy the Epic bundle on their existing account...

Maybe there will be an account linking option, Cryptic experimented with that lately (to link STO's Arc and Steam accounts), ofc only after the EGS exclusivity wears off.
