Is it though? By ARPG graphical standards, it looks like the goddamn Mona Lisa.
Project TL is the Mona Lisa - this is already looking like
Every damn ability freezes a group of mobs in place - so they just herk/jerk like a frozen clump around the screen until you explode them.
Every class plays like this - it looks awful - why even have animations, when the enemies are just stunned 99% of the time and are frozen on screen while you smack them around?
Should be called "Stun-Ark" - because every attack from every class has a lengthy stun
Project TL looks amazing, but it doesn't exist yet. And given NCSoft's wonderful recent track-record with non-mobile games, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, thanks.
For the brief stint I had with the game on the Korean server the game was a lot of fun. Too bad it never made it out to the West, 1 or 2 years ago this game would have blown up here. Now with D2 remake D4 on the horizon not so much.

Actually not all mobs freeze and get stunned or can be put into a juggle... There are types of mobs in the game. light, medium, and heavy.
Lost Ark looks good. You dont' need the shiny engine stuff to have a beatiful visual design, prime example of an MMO like that is GW2.
Lost Ark impresses more for its vast coverage of entirely different themes, the steampunk, wasteland, cute kawai desu stuff, medieval, dark souls'ish, etc... It has a new factor as you play and explore. The cinematic play of much of the story bits especially ones like the medieval city siege are just really well done to a point you hardly find on the current offer.
Season 2 updates also pushed engine graphical updates but even without the "gucciest" part of that still dated, the detail put on locations is what gets the visual quality up.
Also Lost Ark now is not much ARPG, it's more MMORPG as its direction has been blending more of traditional MMO into it.
