My two favorites right now are the Chaos Seeds series starting with The Land: Founding (at Amazon http://a.co/aK2mb7y) and Ascend Online (at Amazon http://a.co/aeoQIUI). There are a bunch of these books that are great though. The only problem I have with LitRPG books is that once I start reading them I find I can't stop!
"Those who participate in the forums and related website receive experience points, virtual gold and items, and level up with time."
While I am all for forums helping to create a game community I have concerns about how this will work. Do you get gold for likes? Hopefully you can all see where that's going.
If it was based on time since joining the board and activity that would be far better, you don't want a community that just slaps each others back.

I found this Genre by reading the Land by Aleron Kong, almost purely by accident. It has since sparked an honest to goodness obsession with the Genre. I love it. I figure I would also share a few of the series that I really enjoyed.
The Land - despite the negativity about the author, it is a really good series. https://amzn.to/2IfYMQl
The System Apocalypse - a great take on post apocalypse IRL becomes a game scenario https://amzn.to/2rIdyUS
Awaken Online - probably one of the best written series of all LitRPG's out there. Great plots, pacing and systems, this is a top tier series. https://amzn.to/2Ik8xsz
And my most recent read
Raiya - Archons Chosen series - a brand new setting/book that I just read last week. I really liked a lot about it, and I found the story was fast moving, well written and left a lot of things to be developed in sequel books. https://amzn.to/2GhkGMW
Thats my short list, though I could go on for days. This is a really cool Genre and if you havent at least taken it for a spin, I definitely recommend you do!
Awaken Online: Catharsis is a LitRPG by Travis Bagwell. It tells the story of Jason who immerses into the Awaken Online game to escape reality. Awaken Online is a virtual reality game new to the market.
These people are doing good in the best audiobook collections.
