Codemasters has announced that they are currently offering a 10-day free trial for their game, Rising Force Online (RF Online).

 

Codemasters and Fileplanet welcome you to the RF Online Trial. RF Online is an epic mix of traditional fantasy MMOG mixed with unique futuristic sci-fi action to bring an entirely new and original take on the existing MMORPG genre. Set in a deep space galaxy known as Novus, take your pick from three all-powerful warring factions leading your character into the final battle for total control over the entire Novus galaxy.

    Sigh i just get a black page with some writing about the game.. why is it these pages are always fucked up?

    What did you guys get on the page that got it working?? Man these forums are slow and empty.. it's not the first time these pages don't work though for me...

    This game is centric around PvP, and the PvP is pretty weak, imo. You need a HUGE level gap to solo, and 3-4 people to kill someone your level once you're in the 35-45 range. Be warned, the game is pretty amusing at first, but its not worth the 50 dollar price tag.

    Well Fileplanet is the only page that doesn't work for me.. crappy fileplanet... But GM Ulric from RF ONLINE actually SEEKED ME OUT and gave me a key over XFIRE!!

    If the game has support like that it can't be half bad!

    Well after playing it for a day.. I can say.. I hate being wrong Patriarch

    lol.. I Mean... it isn't HORRIBLE.. i've seen worse .. But.. the CHIP war thing.. is .. supposed to be the coolness... But.. when I tried to come help our team.. everybody was just... standing there.. 50 guys .. just.. standing.. not moving... I'm like.. wow... look at this.. so... EPIC.. LOL.

    And after repeatedly asking .. what are the objectives.. where are they located.. how can I help?? Without any response what so ever.. I finally went running around on my own to try and figure it out... took me about 20 seconds to get slaughtered completely...

    Well.. great support still!! To bad the game doesn't deserve it.

    Codemasters are a great bunch of guys, they are professionals. Their website speaks for itself. I was in the forums around December-January anticipating the launch of RF Online. RF Online, in the end, requires a different taste. I liked the War’s, tax rate, and mech aspects but there was a great lack of character customization, that did it in for me. I'm sure there are those out there who could enjoy this type of MMORPG. The bad thing is they are all playing Lineage II. For all of its faults, CM has been doing a great job both in distribution and advertising of RF Online.
