I've been cranking on Outriders with any free time I've had to game over the past few days (when the servers cooperate) and I'm having a blast so far. These are some tips to help you get started with the game if you're just starting out.

Take the time and give all the classes a try before committing. They all play very differently.
I do like that world tiers unlock as you play instead of waiting until the end of the game. It definitely adds difficulty as you go and stops you from just stomping all over the enemies..
Edit: Time for some of the bad -.
Multiplayer isses: latency issues and disconnects for no real reason. Wiping sometimes causes a player to 'vanish' and leave them unable to move. Sometimes I'd try and use a skill and it would get -stuck- and I would be unable to use other skills or weapons..
Cut Scenes: If you LOVE cut scenes, buy this game. There's a cut scene for everything. I personally hate it. I don't need to see my character go through a door to a new map. I can imagine it.
tier 7, as it’s simply more efficient for them than tier 8-9.
There’s no special gap other than raised chances of Epic / Legendary.
Unlike Diablo you’re not missing out on Set items by not having the right tier
I'd also suggest building your gear so it synergizes with the skills and mods you want to use. My technomancer uses the blighted rounds skill with mods that replenishes 30% of your mag on kill with another mod that allows you to reload your weapon once and keep blighted rounds up (BR usually ends and goes on cooldown once you reload or change weapons). This means I have BR almost always up which is a huge boost to dps.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.
Indeed I notice that dying is a little old school, you actually loose progression rather than just having your mates laugh about it.
I'd suggest watching this guy who goes a little in depth of why it's pointless of having a higher world tier before you hit endgame The only competing abilities that actually do anything when you're doing the high world tiers while levelling are the special rounds, which in turn forces you to use an LMG just in order to get maximum value out of it. For the other 2 you would just get a selfheal and a CC, simple because all the damaging abilities deal miniscule amounts of damage
The only reason not to play on the highest world tier is when it becomes too difficult and you can't progress.
And if you're doing your mods properly and speccing your tree right, your abilities should be as powerful as anything else in your arsenal. My pyromancers also uses volcanic rounds and replenishes ammo, but I've run builds without it too and they're equally viable. Burn damage can tick for some pretty big numbers and go through walls.
I would recommend trying everything. There are a lot of ways to build characters.
I'll try knocking it back to WT5 and see how things play out while I'm still doing the campaign. Trying to break through WT6 has had me focusing on my gear way too much, therefore wasting crafting components I should be saving for endgame.
I thought the demo was just okay. I have played the full game for about 11 hours now and I think it is still just okay. I have the exact same impression of the full game as I did of the demo.
It's something to play with friends until something better comes out.
