Well.. this guy screws up so regularly that you can set your clock by it. So how about we go in the opposite direction with a regular bi-weekly column called "What did Caspien screw up now?"

3 of 8 goals missed with the 5 missed being pushed to Milestone 2. What's the point of advancing Milestones that aren't complete? That's managing by date, not by success. This looks more and more like a demonstration of 'doing something', like maybe to soothe angry defendants.

His design team consists of himself and some level of contribution from a sound engineer, a composer, an artist and some undetermined level of Snipehunter as a designer (Although a few months ago he said he was not doing anything CoE related)

IMHO this disaster of a Unity store engine asset "game" is a joke. It's on the same level as James Proctor's constant projects. Not an exaggeration. I think its very comparable.

Regardless of his team's size, shifting goals from Milestone to Milestone isn't managing the project, it's counting a partial achievement as a full achievement, and pushing what they can't deliver to a future date. What's the point of the illusion of a project management facade if it isn't trying to give the impression that somewhere, somehow, work is being done?

(FYI, I agree with your stance that this is a farce of a game. Even the details appear to be aimed at convincing people that he's doing something. That might not fly as well with a court as he imagines. Judges can be cantankerous, especially when they feel manipulated).

Wait until they show the judge the promised game and what he is currently working on (in another engine)

I will use a different approach : I suggest the journalist verify if there is REALLY a team working on this game. As far as we know, employees were all fired and, following many lawsuits from backers, the owner claims the game is still being developed. The journalist might therefore need to verify the validity of the claims before posting articles about it anywhere.

I am not blaming the reporter or journalist here in any way. It is really just an odd case.

It is too bad that crowd funding is still a rather new idea and that the courts and laws really don't have any laws governing it because it opens the doors to scams.

I feel there is no way these scams can be sued as best scenario the LLC gets shut down but part of me wants to believe a person like Caspian could be personally sued for fraud as his intention from day 1 was to defraud people of their money.

Digging deeper i found it not unsurprisingly amazing that even a charity cannot just give back your money if found to be fraudulent.The governing bodies always like to have their hand in the cookie jar,you know taxes on revenue.In some cases such as possessions attained through criminal acts they can be returned but both money and PROVING fraud is very difficult.

In case of donating to a game the money is quite legally spent on finances so it is not like the fraudster is just moving money around that he scammed from people.

So these people can simply be on tough times and looking for a way to make a quick buck so pretend to make a game.No matter the reason like simply pretending to build a game so the person or people can pay themselves a nice wage is likely never going to see a court of law.

In many ways a con artist like Jeremy is no different than a marketing firm that is out to deceive and con YOU the gamer into spending money on their partnered game.Simple advertising also does the exact same thing and even though laws do exist on that subject the yare again very difficult to prove intent and usually base themselves off of RESULTS from injury or some resulting outcome that has caused some harm.

I view these MMORPG crowd funded efforts like those "bad" charities one reads about where most of the money goes to paying salaries and "expenses" with little benefit given to the intended cause.

Maybe we could get one of those Charity Watch organizations to start rating these Crowd funding campaigns?

Thanks for the video Nilden, it really shows what a scammer he truly is, i mean he doesn't even qualify for turd status, it's a semi human lowlife pond scum.

I've mentioned before it must be a easy ride life to have no morals whatsoever.

I agree with people asking mmorpg to stop posting this losers garbage, i wholeheartedly agreed until i thought about this...

No one pays attention and this pos gets away with ripping people off becasue of lack of awareness.

In light of that i'm pro posting everything this fuckhead does.

I mean when you think about it, all the threads are all full of disgust for this lowlife, there is never a hey the guy is solid upstanding citizen right, so let the truth be told, people researching come across threads like this and will know what a crook he really is.
