In the latest Chronicles of Elyria blog post from Soulbound Studios' CEO Jeromy Walsh (Caspian), some core features of Kingdoms of Elyria were touched on as part of a "preview" of Milestone 2. The post dives into very specific characteristics of Kingdom of Elyria's contracts and NPC personalities systems, which Soulbound Studios plans to implement over the next couple months.

    Have to admire that "Pre-Alpha Footage" stamp...

    If I could just make a suggestion to the entire team behind the spirit of the game, including Jeromy Walsh, they might consider adding "Footage Not Representative of Actual Gameplay".

    Funny thing is Mick used to be a mod on either the reddit or their forums but gave it up after becoming disillusioned in the final year or so before the wheels all came off.

    Let's not sugar coat this. This is a procrastination tactic to avoid the lawsuit. If they show they are working on something, then they can avoid legally being held liable in court. I don't think that will be the case, but that's the thinking of Jeromy Walsh.

    Well.  His prior post said it was him and other “former” members which leads me to believe they are working on the side with him.  But even then I think it was just him, a designer, an artist, a sound guy and the composer.

    My guess is even if Jeremy has the people he mentioned helping him they are working on a part time basis or as a side project to their day jobs.

    As was said many times before by others, the likelyhood that we ever get out of Walsh anything that resembles the CoE game that was pitched originally is probably as small as those get.

    Jeromy is playing The Walsh, as he always did, all talks and no walk; the blameless superior genius of immaculate morales, posting huge walls of text while being unable to put out a single piece of gameable content that isn't crap and full of security holes.

    Based on my (sadly) rather extensive experience with Jeromy's shenanighans, the likely scenarios range from: A) at best, a shoddy, broken (and offline) Kingdoms game client made out of store assets, all the while blaming _____ for his (renewed) failure; B) at worse (and more likely), we'll never see anything concrete out of this, it will devolve in a cryfest and (yet another) complete shuttering of the "studio" while Jeromy hides away.

    It feels so gross and slimy to see this "game" discussed by MMORPG.com as if it were anything other than a front to avoid financial liability for CoE.
