Bradford recently watched Upload on Amazon, as well as perused Reddit and was thinking: If he died, what MMORPG world would he love to wake up reincarnated in, and why?

Yup, Qeynos, looks fairly nice. However any MMO world would probably creep me out after a while with people standing in the same place 24 hrs a day

Probably in one made for kids that I wouldn't be caught dead actually playing.

Unicorns, rainbows with pots of gold and no hardship nor strife? Yeah that one :)

So Star Stable or Animal Jam. Not necessarily a bad way to spend your afterlife, in a colorful, animal-laden existence, lol.

Balenos, the starting area of Black Desert Online, could actually be a good place to postlive. Really nice.

EQ for sure, can still do great things even as an NPC, seems like all the NPCs are heroes of old in that game lol

For me the key word is 'could'. So I don't have to, because imo my real life is better then all the worlds of MMORPG's that I have played. Most of the MMORPG's have worlds with war and strife and then not from a safe distance, but you are in the center of it.
To me , the attraction of those MMORPG worlds is that I can play in them while I am safe in my own house. I like to play a knight or soldier, but I really don't want to be one in reality.

Also, when taking the worlds very literally, they will all be very boring, very soon. They are too limited in potential life experiences and discoveries compared to rl.

Call me a party pooper, but it makes more sense to dream about improving your rl (and actually try to improve it) then dream about living in some limited MMORPG world.

Just to be clear, I love games.

It isn't like this for everyone though, I would love to live in DCUO or City of Heroes. Then I wouldn't have all the nerve damage, and not be in a wheelchair much of the time. AND have super powers

    Besides you would just respawn.

To be in an MMO World as an NPC. That's a good question.

Well since most all the games have too much to fear in the world not many would be very good.

Give up our current luxuries to go back and hunt and kill animals ,create a fire to cook and keep warm, sounds like work.

I want a fridge that is always full,a nice relaxing island with all the luxuries i don't think such a game exists.I don't want to venture outside and be attacked by an Orc or Giant or Lizard or whatever.

I think i'll just join the knights of the round table on a merry quest for the Holy Grail and visit the castle of young maidens where bad naughty evil Zoot and her twin sister reside, yeah that would be a good place me thinks.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

    I like:

    - Middle Earth
    - Azeroth (in Vanilla WoW), Westfall is my favorite zone in the entire game, I want to spend my whole time there
    - the galaxy in Star Wars (based on the Star Wars Galaxies game, not that shitshow SWTOR)

That's pretty easy for me.  Star Trek.  In the Trekverse,, you don't have to worry about money, housing,...... life is pretty nice for the average person.

I'd be a Demon Lord in Cross Reverie (anime reference for any not familiar)! Jiggly bits indeed!

That said, I sorta agree that the idea sounds nice, but then, most MMO worlds are going to end any day now unless some hero saves everyone.  They may look pretty, but doesn't seem like it'd pan out as cool as it seems.

Now, accepting all that, SWG or SWTOR. I mean, you get all the creature comforts of futuristic technology and the galaxy is probably big enough to be able to stay out of trouble....I mean...unless there was some sort of bad guy that would try to achieve immortality by snuffing out all life...but what are the chances?

edit: ok, @mgilbrtsn has a point. Star Trek would be a pretty solid choice. Then you could be in any MMO world whenever you want. Holodeck FTW! Sounds like a hack :P
