Tuesday March 21st 2006 - Big World Technology After long consideration, Nuanced Entertainment has finally selected an engine to use for the majority of our MMOs.
Big World Technology is one of the most advanced MMO Gaming engines around today. If it is used right it can produce some amazing quality MMOs with even greater game play. Nuanced Entertainment is tired of the old traditional hack/slash, gain levels, be master of all MMOs. We are gearing toward more in depth games where you or your party can become entangled in your own world with your own family in your own town.
Design documents, concepts, lore and history, and world maps are currently in development.
My name is Adam and I am the founder/owner of Nuanced Entertainment. Nuanced Entertainment and Loud Ant Software have joined forces to redesign a MMORPG. We are looking to hire an animator. If you think your up for it and can work from your home and get paid through paypal or check in the mail PM me. We are currently looking for two animations, a walk animation and a run animation. If you have or can create please let me know. We are willing to pay for these two animations.

As it still meets the requirements to be on our list, there is no reason not to list it.
First time ever I have seen a company that buys a license also get the exact same site AND forums of the previous version that has "nothing" to do with previous owners.

It's the same people. Egomancer is still there. Dave Jasinski was posting under a different name and disappeared when his cover was blown. And Adonys is still there, just not posting.
They only lost 90% of their employees and took on a new investor, who acts nice in public but is just as much fo a dick when his fans aren't watching. He actually threatened to sue a fansite if they didn't remove images from the game. Of course it wasn't the images he cared about, it was because they had hosted a particular interview which cast the developers in a poor light and he wanted to be petty.
I was not around last time this all happened, but it seems like you guys have found enough to at least make us reconsider. I'm removing it again for the time being and I am sure Craig will look at it closely next week before an ultimate decision is made.

I'm pretty sure they shut down the forums not because they were "exposed" but because they just added a guild that was a bunch of people who have following the game for like 2 months into a special beta... basically to keep them interested and hopefully scam their money because they were unaware of the history of the game.
Meanwhile, their loyal fanbois were left out in the cold, and obviously got mad for being slighted in favor of the new guys on the block.
As with any time that people have started posting legitimate complaints and problems with RoT, Mourning, or AoM, they shut down the boards. Previously they would just wipe the boards and blame software errors, but it seems like this time they want their irritating, questioning fans to shut the F up permanently.
Things really never change until you hold someone accountable, and it seems like as long as there's a sucker somewhere in the world Ego, Dave, and Ado will keep on screwing people.
Oh, and yeah, their new investors/producers whatever are 16 and 17 year old kids. No idea how this happened, but it doesn't surprise me considering how inept the original guys are. Colton Burgess (the new "producer" and PR guy) has a deviantart page at http://number45.deviantart.com/ where he says he's 16 or 17 or something. His AoM board name used to be coltonb45 or something like that. When his deviantart page (number45) came up he quickly took the 45 out, though :P Slick!
And can anyone link to that 50+ page thread on Mourning here? I seem to have lost it.
i dunno how a game that only accepted a few hundred orders mainly from europe , never had huge hype marketing , could of "upset so many people" like you say.
darkandlight took 9,000 orders at $60 each for sumthnig that doesnt even resemble a game and is still listed here.

AAAAH! It still lives! <Angus reloads his revolver with silver bullets> BANG ... BANG ... AAAH!
Seriously though, if the new owners are good people with honest intentions I'd still like to see this concept succeed.
OMG, the second coming is finally here?!?!?!
It seems they may actually also use BigWorld Technology also which is used w/ Dark & Light ...

Edit: Sorry I was wrong, he graduated last year. This still looks pretty shady.

I think I just heard a toilet flush....Did someone lose a turtle?
Whoa...good job with the hook guys. I think you'll find the same crooked faces behind the scenes.
