I know I feel like every company should have at least a one week open beta to work out server loads and any bugs that the public might find, plus as a free trial before release. If there is no open beta it's gonna be a rocky release and what exactly are they hiding? Shouldn't the game be done 2-3 weeks before release and CD's burned and put in boxes? Don't you want to have people playing your game and word of mouth spread so more will play?
Then again it could be crap and the company is just trying to get blind morons to buy it.

Rather than asking you to wade thru the muck of this forum I will attempt answer your questions by making some points which can easily be found by sampling the threads in these forums.
1. They do not need or want an open beta. All Farlan cares about is taking peoples money. If people were allowed to play the game for free in a open beta there is zero chance they will ever buy the game. Rather they have resorted to you pre-order and you get into SoG. I can't recall a company more full of lies, deciet and dishonesty than Farlan. The amount of promises, ouright lies, cover ups and blatant dishonesty is beyond imagination. If one can go so far as to call a company purley evil then Farlan deserves that title.
2. The game has already failed there is no saving it. Out of the 30,000 that got into SoG only about 100 still even play. Or in otehr words 99.7% of the people who sample this game will not even play it for free.
3. Rocky release? Game done 2-3 weeks to release? You have to be kidding. If this developement team had an additional 10 years to work on this game it would not even be close to being release ready. I am not sure you aware how bad and incomplete this game is. There is absolutely no content in this game. Essentially it is a graphical chat room with a dragon flight simulator. There is no combat system (actually there is a combat system but it is so poorly done its hard to acknowledge it), no quests, no pvp, no siege system, no politics, no social exp, no crafting, no harvesting, no resources, no waether effects, a few poorly built towns, few npcs, all using 5-6 year old outdated graphics and nothing else. The server is capped at 500 people. After that they don't allow anyone else to log in as the server cannot handle anymore people.
4. They do not want word of mouth thats why the official forums are censored and cleansed on negative posts. That is also why they hired two fanboys, almost certainly Blacksac and someone else, to post on forums such as this to trick people into thinking there might be an actual game being made.
5. Just in case you are not aware DnL is the king of bad unfinished, and incomplete games. Those who have played this game should feel proud. We have played the worst game ever developed. Nothing has ever been close. Last year I gladly forked over $20 to knowingly play the worst game ever developed which at the time was Mourning. Mourning had a 1000 times more content, polish and resembalance to an actual game than DnL. DnL is a game that is so bad it has to be experienced for yourself.
dont forget...they dont want to sell box game. they want download only. The only reason besides not wanting to waste money on the CD/packaging as they are a small company, they prolly wish to avoid that of the last game that came out 1000x better than theirs in which thousands sent back the boxes to the company! Besides, what would they put on their box as a description? Nothing. There is nothing in it. LOL
And it USED TO BE that virual download purchases werent really covered in consumer protection. However even in the last two years that has changed dramatically. Heavy hitting credit card companies and payment processing companies got tired of all the complaints and lawsuits regarding virtual purchases, many new laws and setpoints have been made to protect the consumer as well as the companies handling the payments. Not so sure Farlan is aware of the changes in virtual purchases protection, nor the laws of internet fraud (selling something that isnt what you advertised it to be as an enticement to purchase). May have been their plan 4+ years ago but currently there are many avenues customers have. And before anyone starts, there is international internet protection laws in place so dont tell me cuz they are on an island they are immune.

The only sad thing is that once those ppl had very good valid points but lately some of them become to extreme and they start to attack everything and make flaming posts/remarks.

I know at beging you actualy could exchange oppinion about game state etc, however those times changed.
( I realy enjoy it, especialy Cholayna, Kilim, Zippy and Jackdog )

What did I lie about it, is here mybe more than 10 ppl that truly hate farlan/n3 and post about it on weekly basis ? ( yea I know there is more that 10 ppl which hate dnl, same goes about fanbois but they dont post about it on regular basis )

p.s. I forgot to tell I did make one wrong post that got me banned... I started it with "you trolls" and i admit it was wrong. Also had some outburst a while ago ( couse of oversized IK PWNED txt ) and used over size fonts in few of my pots. ( they was deleted )
