4. The SWG Discussion Forum will be removed to help focus game development discussions and make sure that community suggestions, comments and contributions are catalogued in forums that will be read and tracked by the development team. Please use your Galaxy forums for general SWG discussions.

So what the're doing is taking away the one area that is a general discussion for the game, and instead spread it out to over 20 server-specific forums. They will never read through the server specific forums. Ever. They don't have the time for that sort of thing. In essence what they are saying is that they no longer care what players think. They will propose changes, and players will have the ability to comment on those changes (but not create threads), and that will be the limit of your involvement in this train wreck of a game. Great call.

there is one thing I have to disagree with you on motorhead. You said that by them doing this that it shows they no longer care about the players....uhhh when did they ever care about the players

Wow, I thought blocking access from visitors was bad enough but actually taking down the most popular "section" of their forums?

I can't say I agree with your doom-and-gloom nonsense, either.. especially considering I was one of the few people who made a dedicated effort to talk the DEVs/GMs into removing the SWG Discussion forum. Why? Because most of you didn't get what most of them (the DEVs) wanted from it. They wanted discussion on development of the game. Most of you took it literally to mean discussion of all things Star Wars Galaxies. (the error is on their part for naming it one obvious thing and then subtitling it [which no one reads] something else entirely) All the locked threads that resulted from the mess were just angering lots of people. I'm glad they listened to me.. and I'm sure I'm not the only one who pointed the mess out to them.. so I'm glad they listened to whomever else pointed it out, as well.

Sorry that you don't quite "get it", and feel the need to come on here and spew venom about it.

If that isn't the funniest thing I've ever read, well then it's in the top 10..

SOE could only be so lucky, to have someone like me work for them. But, alas, the only game I offered any real help to (told 'em I'd sign to the effect that I wouldn't even charge them for the help) was Earth and Beyond.. but that DEV team can barely come up with the planned content they have going on now, as it is. Would I even help SOE? I don't think so. Only way I'd want to help them would be if they were making a Babylon 5 MMOG as well.

This comment of yours is further PROOF you have never played SWG, are not currently playing SWG, and have never visited the Official SWG forums.

Because the 20 server forums are not the only forums.

There are other more specific forums that deal with:

- Game Bugs

- Announcements

- Technical Issues

And other item/issue specific forums. The 'General Forums' were just that - too general.

By steering more posters to the more specific forums, it means the issues players, and posters have are far more likely to be responded to, dealt with, and corrected.

I want to add something more. Ever hear of Rush Limbaugh? His claim to fame was bashing President Clinton. (I'm not saying I'm a fan of Clinton. I didn't vote for him heheh.)

A caller on his radio show once said to Rush "If soo many things are wrong, why don't YOU get out there and make a legitimate attempt to corret them? How come you won't run for office if you feel there's no one else good enough?"

15 mins of silence followed. Rush had no answer! (Well he propbably did, but didn't want to say it.)

I have a lot of issues with the game SWG. But instead of surfing the internet, going to other sites, crying, complaining, venting, spreading false information, and writting as many negative comments as my fingers can touch-type on the keyboard can.....

.... I instead POST constructive criticism on the Official SWG forums, as well as other SWG - related forums on the internet.

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM : Identifying the problem or problems. THEN in a non-emotional, step by step manner, list all and any possible solutions to the problems!

Viola! One has now done their part to not only scream about what is broken, but made a non-emotional, legitimate attempt to FIX what is broken.

(Also post the name of your character, what server you played on, and how long you have played, and the last time you have played - to weed out those who have NEVER played SWG, or haven't recently played SWG.... yet continue to spew hate, flames, and negative comments about SWG.)

Same sort of thing except "Just when you thought SOE couldn't get any lower..... they've released some games for mobiles phones(the first i've seen of it so if this is old...my bad)...*sigh* can't wait for SWG-mobile edition...it'll probably find some way of destroying my phone.
