For the casual player, I can't see anyone paying for this apart from fanatics they have managed to hook. It's more than New World, SOLO, and Elyon plan to charge ($40) for their buy to play games. This game intends to charge a monthly sub and have a cash shop with microtransactions too.
Well, good luck to them and anyone paying to support this. You would think their kickstarter failing would be a good indicator that this will not be a profitable game.
They've improved the graphics since this older video. Still never going to be BDO but it isn't as bad as what is posted here. This site does this all the time.
It is a lot of work no doubht about it and why small low budget studios should be making BR's and Moba's and arpg's instead of robust mmorpg's.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
It's too expensive. I'd even be hard-pressed to give $20 for this. I might, but it would still be a tough choice to make. They have to take in mind that their game is niche, there aren't many people interested in playing it and those who are, have RuneScape, Ultima and probably EverQuest and Star Wars Galaxies, all for free, so why would they buy this one instead? With that in mind, they have to make their game accessible for as many people as possible and make sure interested people can check it out without any hassle.
They should do it like Retail WoW or LOTRO where you can play for free up to lvl 20 (WoW) and have unlocked quest content up to lvl 30 (LOTRO) so you have plenty of time to decide whether you enjoy the game or not and want to play it further.
Even that joke Project Gorgon has a free demo on Steam so you can test it before you decide to buy it and from what I hear it offers a couple of zones, 2 or 3.
Perhaps they should....because there are more recent videos. And the main thing I noticed was the character models. I'm not here to debate this game with anyone, if you don't like the graphics move the f on. Personally could'nt care less.
