Sounds like another scammy land sale cash grab for a game that isn't even in beta yet.

The pre alpha graphics look terrible.

Have fun throwing your cash(Ethereum) in the toilet and...FLUSHHH!

It looks more game than most of what I saw during my Blockchain research. Have you looked at the game at all, or are you simply broadcasting your preconceived notions?

I am more excited for mirandus. Just recently got a halfling for .465 ETH. I am stoked for it. Emberswords graphics arent really my style but I might play if the pvp is good. Axie infinity wasnt my style either but the competitive PvP is amazing so I could be wrong about liking embersword.

1 games should never have cash shops
2 Games should never be selling virtual parts of the game
3 Problems ,well when all you care about is the financial return then of course it is expected.
4 Games should not be free to play because that immediately attaches scummy monetization
5 Blockchain is a term that should never touch gaming
6 After cash shops and loot boxes who could have thought gaming would get worse?
7 forced to buy land to be a part of the nft garbage side of the game.

So what it looks like with these new scummy monetization ideas is that these new businesses are trying to sidestep the legal issues with operating a crypto currency operation. It looks like they are trying to call their crypto a game currency but it is in reality NOT an in game currency it is an outside crypto currency.

I have not yet looked at the TOS contract you sign with this game but what i have seen of the others is that these are extremely untrustworthy operations.
Ok so i actually did go and read the TOS and yes it is as dubious and scummy as the others but sadly most people will never read these.

    https://embersword.com/terms-and-conditions

You NEVER actually own ANYTHING in these games, you are granted a limited license of use. They word these in a very DECEPTIVE manner to make it sound like you really do own the land and can sell it,well yes you can but ONLY for as long as they alow you so NO you do not actually own anything.

First of all WHY would you give some sketchy business operation your personal identification, are you a dumbass?
This Ember sword business can revoke your privileges and access to the game at any point for any reason.

Anyone spending money on these blockchain games needs their head examined.Sure you can say well i am going to just play the ugly graphics cheaply made game for FREE.Well these are designed to encourage people to spend money to buy land because you will NOT feel a part of the game.

Back on th etopic of issues and the 25k people that showed up.Well they had 12k plots up for sale,25 k seems like a VERY reasonable amount of players that should have been expected. That is only 2.5 people per plot not many at all,so this team was NOT properly prepared what so ever but of course all they really cared about was the money.

There's a lot of ignorance about blockchains and crypto currency... No one gives their personal identification to anyone, if you want a wire transfer (like cavemen used to do to move money) then you need an account number to send it to. No one can take your money or anything else for that matter simply by having your crypto wallet number.

Also, everything everyone says about NEVER actually owning ANYTHING... is again, not understanding basic concepts... WoW had people selling gear from day 2, so it could be used in game. No one is stupid enough to think they OWN the flaming sword, but if its on their account its theirs to use.

Before crypto and blockchain the only way to do this was by breaking the rules and supporting farming rather than gaming, no gamers actually have the possibility of taking their efforts and getting something more than just entertainment out of a game. Why shouldn't someone who looted a legendary be able to profit from some lazy rich person that would rather give his money for it than grind out a game for it? Right now those lazy rich people are feeding billionaires and gamers have a chance to finally take a small chunk of it for themselves when their contributions to the game worlds have rewarded them with something rare or unique.

I've been saying this is the way it should be since the first time I saw WoW gear for sale online. Why should it be shady dealings to supply a demand for something your worked hard to get? If streaming playing Fortnite can make you money, why can't this?

All that being said, there are scams out there and these systems are clearly designed to make money EXACTLY the same way the big developers and publishers do with everything they make. Businesses are in the business of making a profit and EMPLOYING people after all. If you sub to a game or service, you've given a credit card number to a company that's no more trustworthy than these new startups who have well known people working in them. Gods Unchained for example is guided by a MTG game designer. If you go into these things with your eyes open and you don't spend $700 to get your first 3 pokemon (Axies) without even knowing if you'll like the game, then you're just as safe as you are looking at any other AAA game in development.

Anyway, this one doesn't look to be my style of gameplay but I'm watching it to see how it goes and maybe I will throw a few dollars their way to help it become something good. Lord knows Crowfall took a chunk of my money and I'll never see the value out of backing that idea.

Looking forward to seeing KiraTV’s deep dive on this scam game, as a follow up to Earth 2 and Planet IX.

He wasn’t wrong when he said the scams are coming. Some are already here.

illuvium also looks good. I wonder what the axie infinity market will do when a triple A block chain game like illuvium comes out.

This games are normal. While this one is not released, what is happening now with crypto with not only this one but several upcoming crypto MMOs is what Entropia Universe was doing with rl cash economy long before bitcoin was imagined.
