It's a busy time for Pearl Abyss' Black Desert as over the weekend the team showed off their next class coming to the MMO, the pirate Corsair. Today, however, also marks the opening of the first part of BDO's first co-op dungeon, Atoraxxion.

Asian gaming has become the simp capital of the planet and a majority market share within a certain age bracket. I'm not sure if this is good or bad, because at least they have the freedom to market to whom ever they want, and not insult and ignore fans and develop for a non-existing market from our companies over here in the west.
You stay sassy!
Whilst not a fan of pirate-themed 'stuff' in general, I'm looking forward to trying out the Corsair on the new seasonal server coming. All classes I've tried in BDO have been quite fun to play.
Additionally I hope the 1st 'dungeon' is enjoyable, is well received by the community, and they continue to keep adding more group-content to the game, like they slowly have been. We know at least this is the 1st of four dungeons they are working on.
The Heidel Ball was interesting, lots of information there. Some of what they mentioned about the Trade lifeskill update sounds interesting. Also the breakdown of just how much of the gaming population has what GS (Gear Score) was eye-opening.
Finally, that extreme zone sounds tough (GS 340 recommended!) but also interesting in that the environment will be more impactful. I've always thought environments/weathers etc have been largely an afterthought in MMO (both functionally and aesthetically) so here is hoping they do it justice. The fighting itself - if anything like in the Elvia zones - will be great. Those places' combat feels so much more engaging than the normal server monster zone. It should be like there everywhere from level 1.
This is BDO we are talking about, male corsair tba
imurrsshon.
tldr: No damage numbers flying around helps immerse you in the game and focus on the battle and your performance rather than your "dps" like any game with parsing traps you into.
Might be a mod that adds it, but personally I could care less about damage numbers in games, and I'm someone who parsed the hell out of my FFXIV gameplay to the point of seeing it ruining the game and [tryhard] raiding community.
