WTH obviously he did this to make sure that guy loses his job. If he didn't care he called him asshole then why make a video about it.

He could have tweeted a response, making a video is saying "look at me" and escalating the issue to another level. I did not watch the video myself, I refuse to take part social media drivel.

Then you’re part of the problem, not the solution.

It is quick to vilify someone like Asmongold. He made it clear that it doesn’t bother him. However, if he didn’t address it, his community would.

Hmm, that's a fair point. Communities tend to brigade, a response could calm down a portion of them.

However, watching the video he consistently says he doesn't care but then goes on to use very strong language about them and the person he responded to on twitter. That's some heavy mixed messaging. It plays like a rant video, that's not someone who "Doesn't care" lol.

He "Asmongold" did not explain it well, instead he started to create an opinion but made it sound as fact when describing that Blizz employee.
It most certainly did bother him way more so than Asmon bothers me and i can't stand him or half the so called content creators out there because they are like studios just in it for the money.

SO basically some employee calls him an asshole but Asmongold goes on to break that into MANY areas of describing THAT person lol.

I think that is truly amazing that someone can take one word and come up with a full descriptive analyses of a person.
I personally do not follow ANY of these YouTubers,i think they have very little to offer and anyone "following" them consistently are just weird people, like WHY would you?

I am sure Asmongold makes loads of money being a boring person on YouTube,i am sure if someone calls him an asshole he will still make his trunk full of money.Funnny for a one word comment that didn't bother him he made sure to turn it into a minimum 10 minute video to ensure a higher payout from YouTubes payout algorithm.

Nothing will happen to the guy. But it's good that Asmongold talked about it on stream. It helps to discourage viewers from harassing the guy in retaliation. And it's not that Asmon "doesn't care." Of course it bothers him, and he explains why in the video. It was because the tweet that said he's an "asshole" was in response to a someone who was encouraging players to mass report him simply for trying ffxiv. His point was that the response was "signal boosting" the original tweet, and therefore, promoting this type of negative attitude/behavior, which is wrong.

While that makes some sense, making a video about it just blows it up.

Never liked this guy, he always comes across as a petulant child.

The Blizzard employee shouldn't have said that as they represent the company but that's Blizzard's problem.

I think those old enough to know the world before TV would say the same. I have commented before on how few kids you see on the streets these days, the digital world keeps them indoors. But when you mention this to the pre-TV oldies they say, well by the time you were a kid there already were less kids on the street. That's even taking into account the fact there were less people in the city when I was a kid and even less when they were!

Companies never like it when you bring negative notoriety their way through social media bickering and turf wars.

Pretty dumb to use an account verified as a Blizzard employee to post anything like that even when the guy really is an asshole and deserves it.

If it blows up you'll feel the heat at work.

In FFXIV if you spam report people for no reason you get banned fairly fast. SE has no tolerance for that horse shittery, so I say let them have at it.

It is an useful tool to get in contact with people and to find stuff in general. But it has deteriorated far beyond its original purpose.

Twitter in particular is pretty cringe with all of its "celebrity" following/stalking giving even the most fucked-up human beings on the planet a platform to spew bile.

At least sites like this and reddit are mostly just average Joes talking to each other and self-regulating themselves more or less. Any social media can turn into a cesspool but Twitter excels at it.

One again, social media proves itself to be a means of communication for those incapable of communicating.

Don't even get me started on social bs.

I don't have a twitter account, but remember what it was like to play in the dirt as a child, i don't have facebook account but remember the thrill of meeting all your friends to do whatever even if it was something as simple as just to talk and hang out.

Well, usually i'm left out to dry when i lobby against social media, i can say it's good to know there are other sane people left in the world. I'm not alone :)

I've come to terms with it i guess, doesn't bother me anymore, i mean i cannot stop the sun coming up any more than i could stop people from being imbeciles on social media.

Facebook is just as bad imho. Full of toxic Karens and other boomer weirdos. I can't count How many times I've heard people I know say "oh I saw it on Facebook" or  "a friend shared that on FB"...well ffs it must be true then.

As much as Twitter is annoying at least most links are of articles off twitter or just some random person spouting something you can assume it's bs until you get the facts. Facebook is like it's own ecosystem of false and misleading information that tries to keep the user there rather going anywhere else to actually read actual facts. Don't even get me started on the secret toxic groups on that platform. Who knows what goes in those?

The problem with both of these platforms seems to be more with the friends you follow and how their retardation spreads like a virus due to some mysterious algorithm that only likes showing you the most asinine content over the actual positive things. Like I said It really comes down to who you follow or friend. Also, don't read the comments.

Reddit for the most part can be tame if there is actual moderation going on; but toxicity does arise; luckily users who like the discussions can also help stomp it out.

To be clear, he doesn't make these videos.  Fans make clips from his streams.  And reacting to it on stream is what I'd expect any streamer to do.

There is a massive disconnect between the players and the people marketing and making WOW.  I'm not surprised they are testy over al of the criticism they get.

It's definitely unprofessional and the dude will definitely get a talking to imo.

Yeah I hate FB too. The only reason I still have an account (which I haven't used literally for years) is because I no longer have access to the email address I used when I signed up and I need that to delete my account.

Repeated attempts to get them to make my current email the account default or to just delete my account have had no response whatsoever.

Anyone I care to be in contact with knows I don't use it, so whatever. I no longer give a shit about deleting the account.

I look at social media as alcohol. Yes, in the grand scheme of things it is a societal toxin and does more harm than good, but if used moderately and correctly can enhance the life of people that use it.

I dont use FB or twitter or instagram because it is more harmful than beneficial. I do use linkedin but i dont really post.

I, however, heavily use my Onlyfans account, i make $100,000 a month from it.
