Still waiting for that FoV slider I've requested since launch so I can play the game without getting sick.

I forced myself to quit at the same time I quit Fallen Edelgard Heroe- I mean Fire Emblem Heroes. I haven't played either in over a month, and it's saving me about $15/month on subscriptions.

So I won't be picking it up even for the new continent. It's not worth getting back into the grind.

The trailer looks pretty . . . for an anime.  How well this fits into a game, I'm less sure.  It seems like it's entirely story driven, with very little 'roll-my-own' story.

Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.

It's mostly the opposite. You'll be spending most of your time on Breath of the Wild-style exploration or dungeon grinding, with the occassional new story chapter dropped in.

the game wasn't that bad, but it has one big problem leveling up your character ability, is like a roulette, especially the 5 star one I calculated to max my diluc I would need to spent at least $3000, and the same amount for the 5 star weapons, or I can play for free and max it in about 10 years or less if I'm extremely lucky. Well it's a gacha game.

The best part of this game is when there is a new area to explore, but for 2.0, this is underwhelming.
A lot of content creators left the game because they stopped making money off covering it. I imagine them advertising this update as 2.0 as their big attempt to bring those players back.

I am not pulling on their gacha with my f2p currency for a looong time. Reminds me of another game, waiting 2 years for them to make major improvements, it never happened.

I really would love to get into this game, but gacha terrifies me.

If I can max out without paying anything than anyone can. With nothing other than the starter characters. It's doable but not optimal.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.

My suggestion would be to just play it casually or free, and if you spend money on it set it on a monthly budget. if you are easily addicted, well might as well stay away from this.

This is a good game. If you like breath of the wild you will like this game.

You can play this game just fine without spending money or very little. Requires more time/saving primogems for characters if you go f2p.

Buying the battle pass is cheap as a normal sub. You get a lot of mats/money and a 4 star weapon of your choice out of the 5.

Give it a try. The story is good and voice actors are great in all languages.

For all its faults, like the huge gacha mechanics paywall and energy system, the game spiraled into popularity for a reason. It has great visuals, and the gameplay is pretty good on any platform, I've only personally tested it on pc and mobile tho. The voice acting narratives are great and each hero introduced usually have their story quest. I really enjoyed going through the story with my fairy companion and her quirky personality while listening to the background music. As pointed before though you'll be gated by gacha mechanics like aquiring the strong 5* heroes and 5* weapons altho there is a pity system. If you're familiar with rpg mobile gaming then if you want strong heroes without paying $$$ you'll have to constantly reroll until u get the hero you want. The grind for artifacts and talent upgrade is a long slog too.

Yeah, I have an addictive personality. My main problem with systems like this is that they are essentially bottomless pits for money. Even if you can 'get the best equipped character' there's still others and sometimes gacha games design content for specific characters and such.

did people forget about needing to roll for multiple of the same character just to get their constellations up to make them more powerful and better skills. unless they changed something that and the resin system turned me away from continuing to play it

The game looks good and is fun however as a f2per it takes a good while to get enough primo gems to be worth rolling on a banner with increased chances for character you want to get.

Really, really annoying to have to what on a good banners just to get up your char from c0 to w/e lvl you want.....it sometimes often feels like you are playing with one arm behind your back on the tougher fights/dungeons.

Frankly maxing out constellations as f2p is going take a long long time especially considering primo gems are gonna be acquired slower once you get most achievements done.

As for the resin system I think they changed it since some of you played. Now you get so many resin per day and they reset daily or slowly accrue over the day so it not as bad as it used to be I think.

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
