Well, he did write an entire paragraph and then used only an abbreviation of the name of the game at the end.
Darkfall's biggest problem is 'will it ever be released', wasn't it originally going to be out a year or two ago? I'd be carefull putting too many hopes on the game, since it's not clear that it will be out.
Yeah, I been waiting for Darkfall myself, but seems like that game is plagued without a release date. I have it in the back burner of the brain, but havent seen anything new on this game for quite some time.
If he is talking about DF then it has alot to live up to UO.
Is it wise to start hyping Darkfall as an Ultima Online replacement when no beta date has been scheduled after years of development? Not to say the title doesn't look promising, but it really has been an exceptionally long time coming and the gaming community im part of has been watching it since it's very early development stages and even some of our interest is waning a little.

yeah, i'm hoping he doesn't mean something that was supposed to start beta in Q4 2002, especially since it's now Q2 2006 and i don't think they're up to alpha testing yet?
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
An interesting point that a guy brought up on another thread is that you're never going to get something like the original UO again because there's competition. Specifically, people who don't want open PVP just won't pick up Darkfall, so you won't end up like the original UO with a mix of 'wolves' and 'sheep' like pre Trammel UO that so many people like. There may not be a 'no PVP' island in Darkfall, but the people who would be on the no PVP island in UO will just be on another game entirely.

I found luzarious profiles on three games, Dark and Light, Planetside, and Age of Conan.
I'm guessing it's DnL or AoC.
I am hoping not DnL

Long ago Ultima Online used to be a very chaotic & realistic PVP environment much like the way Darkfall is going to be.
So for us PVP veterans from UO. We get to experience a taste of the old days once again in DF.
People were asking what the new game is, not what UO is.
edit: tense fixed, was not fully awake when I typed it.
Lol, you even quote him, but you didn't read it all? He means Darkfall...

the op probably means darkfal. yeah, like that low budget title is going to come even close the quality of old UO.

If he wants to waist his time hyping up a game, let him, we will all see the outcome of darkfall when it comes, plain and simple.
