    Anyone who moves that slow during a fight, will not need a feign death skill.

    I don't know much about this game but I think it's cool that they are making an unarmed combat model. I think animations need to be sped up about 50%... enough to keep it looking realistic.

    Sped up..lol,i think not.Why is there light coming off his attacks ..sigh.

    Class design is very important but this video does absolutely nothing to show me cohesion of abilities and game design.I need to to know how everyuthing works together,like instead of the always crappy play videos take some time to actually explain one class at a time and what they are doing with abilities within a group.

    I don't want to see a video of 5-6 people introducing themselves then watching combat with no idea what is actually going on or what COULD be going on.Studios are just real bad at explaining their game and mechanics,like ALWAYS.

    So i guess i am supposed to figure the video out on my own.So the punch strikes are straight forward the obvious first dmg auto ability.I saw some kind of power attack which showed no feedback o nthe dummy.I also saw a roundhouse kick also with no feedback on the dumy.Certain abilities NEED to show their impact otherwise they are all simple strikes with a different animation.Really no different than heal 1 heal 2 heal 3 exact same thing just a bigger number.

    These designers need to separate each ability so that it is very defining and not lik i said just another attk doing dmg but with different animations.
    So...... if they were at all any good with the design the power attack would knock back the enemy.The roundhouse kick would stun the enemy that way all 3 attacks are very defining and recognized.
    Oh and the Chakra effect,i approve and there can be various chakra effects such as perhaps the energy from within magic attack,perhaps a healing chakra perhaps a stun chakra etc etc.I also approve of the slower buildup of energy that comes off as plausibly real.

    Looks solid enough. I'm a big fan of pugilist classes. Something about the purity of not relying on weapons, but only your own strength.

    The animations look good. Nothing... exciting about them except that FALCON PUNCH. If I end up playing this and this class, I'm definitely shouting that into discord chat everytime I use it. :P

    Core idea is there but needs some tweaks for sure. My problem is the speed, monks are suppose to be the unarmed masters yet he moves very stiff and the weight of the hits is non existent. Ive noticed that in other classes as well though, hits dont carry much and makes the attacks feel empty.

    Right track just adjust and I'm good.

    This is merely a video list of Monk abilities. If you want a detailed explanation of the Monk class this is the best video out there.

    The light coming from represents the spiritual magic(chi/chakra) of which the class is based. Monk isn't some mere brawler utilizing brute force to defeat foes. They utilize a type of magic to turn their body into a living weapon.


    I personally don't believe the ability animations need to be sped up but maybe need to be more smooth and fluid.

    I havent seen one of their vids in awhile, but the ones in the past it took forever to kill anything....I guess it doesnt matter if you are armed or not most likely.

    Admittedly, I don't know a lot about this game. It seem to fall off the map for a bit. The video you posted showed attacks are faster than they seemed to be in the demonstration video. In your video you are right, it does not "need" to be sped up...  but I do think it could used a little more speed.

    This game is going to be outdated before it's released. There was a point in time where I was excited for the "true Everquest successor", but that time has come and gone. This could release tomorrow and I really don't know if I would even buy it at this point.

    This is the only MMO that I'm excited to spend the next 15 years playing and hopefully this is a sign that it'll release within the next 2 years

    Been waiting for this game for a long time.... I think they should do a early release to allow us to play and put in that its a early release.... Just like when Everquest first came out it was not finished it had a lot crazy bugs but who cares...some get fixed some don't everquest still has crazy bugs... I started out playing the realm in elem school then on day one started playing everquest.... It was amazing compared to the realm ... I am also so sick of the wow clones and wow and everquest pay to win progression servers and horrible live expansions... If they did do a early release they would make a lot of money just on the sells of the CD keys that they could use to further invest into the game...

    A lot of what i see is a lot like everquest games are meant to be...I liked everquest 2 also but the start of that game was crazy horrible vs everquest they made it totally impossible to upgrade your spells and making money in the game was so horrible i spent like 8hours one day harvesting rocks to try to find a rare to make a higher lvl of spell and never found one...
    I mean hell i learned how to spell on everquest since i had no choice i did not learn how to spell and read at school since i am a little slower on learning some stuff but I am really hoping for the best with this game.
    One of the things i think that ruin games to day is all the voice chat program's out there now like discord,ventrillo and all the rest to be it makes me fill like ppl are lazy and they can't type... that's one thing i loved about everquest when it first came out everyone had to type...Even if they sucked at spelling lol...
    But yes i would prefer they do a early release at this time i am starting to wounder if this games ever going to come out esp ally with (Brad) passing away....He was a true hero to all gamers and should have a statue built at all the big gaming event cents since he was the one who pretty much made it so they could do what they do it day
    To me (Brad) was a hero and any real gamer should respect him for what he has done...he changed the gaming world forever and brought out one of our best new worlds ever...

    I think this poster just posted to be a pissant,trying to start an argument.I did not mention anything about FACTS only YOU did,so what are these facts you speak of?

    A request for a better video,better information on a class within a grouping game within a MMO is not the same as posting facts lol,i mean geesh i am still wondering wtf are you on about?

    I'm just really hoping pantheon will be really good for us all to have to wait for so long... Don't care for the pvp games coming out... most of them die off after 60 days after everyone gets sick of being ganked and there is no one left for the gankers lol

    Realistic?  Where are the judo throws and holds, or prone grappling for a dagger?  Even just knock the enemy down and let the fat kid sit on them to keep an opponent out of the fight.  If these are there, I haven't seen (or read) about them.  They're adding a class that uses a fist/kick attack which is no different from a sword, mace or staff.

    Maybe they aren't making the game for those who "don't like their intentions" and maybe they are thinking for themselves and the decision is to incorporate things from EQ and maybe even Vanguard?

    You and Theocritus constantly comment on how you don't like things in this game so perhaps it's just not to your taste and never will be.

    They aren't going to be able to win because if they make the combat "fast" someone is going to say "they aren't thinking for themselves, they are giving in to the demands of a certain segment of players."

    The combat has always been slow so I suspect that's what they want. For my taste, it could be faster but it is what it is. I certainly don't want "devil may cry" levels of fast.
