I dont like the change of block being tied to health.
I like it tied to Stamina
I agree. It makes more sense with stamina.

Yup... what's the point of blocking if you still take damage? Less damage?... you're also doing no damage back. Not the best tradeoff.

Probably that you're still going to be limited to only a few foods. So tanks prioritizing health, will have the tank mechanics aligned with their build and food, and someone who is going to be swinging/shooting their weapon a lot is going to focus on stamina food.

It makes sense imo - the names Health and Stamina, are just that, names. Mechanics can be applied differently as needed. Its also possible this could change at a later date with player feedback, once it's been played and tested.

Sure, handwaving poor decision choices away is easy to do, but this isn't reddit and their lackluster pace, lack of content updates, and poor focus is putting them on the path to crippling interest in their game.

In no way does this change make sense for well thought through game design. Limiting choice in an open world survival sandbox goes against the nature of everything they've designed so far. Fiddling around and experimenting with bizarre mechanics fleshing out or adding new content is only going to further frustrate players even more than they already are.

It makes no sense to radically change combat mechanics at this point unless they don't really have a well thought out vision for how that system should work which they've now made readily apparent to the entire gaming world. What it looks like is they're throwing ideas at the wall to see what works and that just reeks of rookie.

The good news is that mods fix most of their boneheaded choices. The bad news is that this means more fiddle-faddling rather than content updating.

They could sit down and do some bug fixes and enjoy the money they made. I think it came too quick and over whelmed them. if it would have stayed small just a bit longer I am curious what would have happened.

It's already gone on the shelf for me.. Then again I am not a creative builder type.

I'm curious if it'll have additional content added too, Finished all of the bosses in the first week of the game's release and then went into creative hoping for more content to be released.

There are 3 more biomes and 2 bosses planned for sure. More could be added in the future of course.
