Giving my opinion on this expansion before the whole lawsuit thing, I think its sad how heavily criticized its been so far. I dont think there's been any REAL problem with Shadowlands itself, more so how the team has been developing the game since maybe Legion.
Shadowlands felt like it was trying to be an expansion before the Legion conversion (when previous raid tiers still matters and gearing was a bit slower but felt worth grinding for and was different every raid tier) but had to adhere to post-Legion game design (each patch being more of a self-contained experience instead of adding to the overall expansion's experience). Pretty much, people have been doing the same grind, just at a slower rate, but still having the same catch-up systems as the previous 2 expansions which kind of demeans the slower grind (with the domination system or whatever kind of making previous grinding completely irrelevant for a while into 9.1 until they nerfed the system I think).
I still think 9.2 can be fun but it will probably be it until 10 given everything that is going on and I think it would probably be for the best. Hopefully they can wrap things up after 9.2 and take the extra time to focus on 10, but people did think Shadowlands would be over better than BfA (which I think it has been so far) because they got the extra time (which I kind of think they didn't really due to the pandemic and I dont think anyone would've held it against them for delaying it until this year).
Like I previously have mentioned I haven't decided what I am going to do when my sub runs out. I also harbor no illusion that my choosing to play or not play, or write/not write about Blizzard games would have any affect on the outcomes of anything whatsoever. Even if every person in the world stopped playing Blizzard games and the company folded it wouldn't fix what's broken here because this isn't just a Blizzard or Games Industry problem. So you do what makes you feel better, but don't sit in judgement of others for their choices because despite what you may think, still covering things including the lawsuit and some of the stupid responses Activision Blizzard has had to it. isn't helping to continue the abuses at Blizzard. And stopping coverage won't stop those things either.

I agree with this viewpoint. As someone mentioned in the previous WoW article comments, it runs counter to take aim at everyone who does not support the same actions in regards to a company due to their practices. The law and government can honestly do far more when it comes to business regulations that consumers when it comes to how employees are being treated.
Also innocent people get hurt as well in this, so I do not believe there is a true 'right' or 'wrong' response to all of this. The problem is that when people start to think for themselves, and it so happens to go against what more notable figures determine as the 'right' course of action, it becomes this 'with us' or 'with them' mentality, which is the wrong choice imo.
Keep in mind that this was happening when other higher-ups that recently left were at the company as well, so should we boycott Mike Morhaim's studio and others as well?
My point is, dont demonize someone simply because they choose to still support something (of this magnitude at least) after finding out certain business practices that occurred.
The current government for this country turns a blind eye to sexual harassment stuff that happens within their own office. Even the anti government people that go off the grid has issues with sexual harassment amongst themselves. Oh yeah and there is a game to talk about too so... Even pre SL the problems were annoying but doable where as SL just gets in the way of enjoying the game.
