And I thought they're ditching their Pay to Skill concept.

Creating a list of skills for training is hardly a thorough examination of a system, with repairs or changes.

I have never played EVE and even I thought that. :)

This must cause problems for returning players, I remember coming back after a short break from Lotro and thinking what on earth have they done?

Hurray. They are doing what third party apps/websites have offered for EVE for the last 10+ years ... skill planning, looking at skill sets of fighters/traders/scouts etc.

Thats not a skill training overhaul. Thats implementing into the game officially what inofficially existed before for a decade.

    Have fun

So if I'm reading right; The underlying skill training mechanics aren't really changing and this is more of a QoL improvement. Unless I'm overlooking something, calling it an "overhaul" is a bit of an embellishment.

Still, good for them making changes to help people reach their in game goals.

I wondered if it was just replacing all of those 3rd party tools I used to use to do skill training and ship fitting, if so, a welcome improvement.
