Well. It looks like New World is facing another gold dupe bug which has caused developer Amazon Game Studios to disable all forms of wealth transfers.

    I don't know if I should laugh or be mad. I did not play it but it was on my list. Like Cyberpunk 2077, I guess that one will have to wait.

    I wonder... Is that the game with the biggest amount of exploits in the less amount of time?

    Client side game for an MMORPG...exploiters paradise.  This is a veteran team?

    There are multiple methods for duping gold and items... and every patch seems to break more code.  

    It's not pleasant over in the official new world forums.  

    I've been playing other games, tabling NW till hopefully things are fixed (but again when patches add more exploits, we are in trouble).

    This reminds me of the great money dupe bug in SWG in 2004; except SOE literally got so pissed they just deleted every account that had duped money on it. Including unsuspecting players who were unknowingly tipped said dupped credits. You had to email them to even get your account back, took weeks and you character was gone so you had to make a new one.

    On a plus side, for people who wanted hardcore PvP... players could directly crash other players computers or worse...

    The huge bugs are starting to wear on me.
    -Duping
    -Hatchet bug (people spamming 10k damage heavy attacks when like 800 is normal)
    -resilience bug giving pure damage reduction instead of crit damage reduction.
    - fire and life staff swapping to machine gun light attacks for like a 300% damage boost.
    -fishing bots galore.

    Just some of the lovely bugs in the clusterf that is new world.

    It just amazes me that so many people feel they need to cheat to enjoy a video game.....THen again, most of these are probably doing it to make RL money off it, so there ya go.

    It is not just for real life selling. Most of them were duping gold and items because of greed or temptation. You know easy way to get one of best crafted gears and to hoard gold so they don't bother grinding later.


    Wait, players cheat to avoid doing boring ass grinding and instead focus on the fun stuff they enjoy like crushing others...

    Where do you suppose the problem really is? The players?  Or perhaps the game's design?

    If I recall correctly, the motto of Amazon R&D is "move fast, break things".
    Anyways, remember Neverwinter gold making exploit with auction house negative prices, that was so extensive that it completely ruined the economy and since it was so widespread and unfixed for almost a month, they gave up on correcting it. Deja vu ?

    Both. The game is junk and there are more bad apples than ever before. Games can only tolerate so many bad actors.
