<-------------- That's my char from Silkroad Online which is my current mainstay atm. And I'm pretty much a f2p activist nowadays . For a core reason, I just don't reject free from monthly subs stuff. A sinful bliss maybe but wth...
Been playind Anarchy Online for over a year now. No other sci-fi game comes close to it in depth and customization imho. Also just started RF online free trial but don't see that going very far (I hate point and click movement). Waiting for Age of Conan and the next big sci-fi mmo....whenever these companies finally realize there is a big market for one amidst all the "sword and sorcery" clones.
I have been playing Auto Assault the most right now and it is very interesting. I actually like Auto Assault a whole lot and haven't logged into another MMORPG for more than a few minutes in several weeks. I just hope they keep adding things like I think they are in a soon to be released patch. Something about auction houses, improved PvP (I haven't pvped yet but I can imagine it'll be fun), respec of skills (like in WoW), more loot, and more cars to pick from.
I am also playing WoW (i have a Druid, Shaman, and Rogue), but only a couple of hours the whole month of May. I recently bought Guild Wars Factions but haven't really played it past level 10 since I got my hands on Auto Assault.
I recommend Auto Assault for anyone looking for something different and actually fun. The crafting takes a bit to figure out but once you do it's worth it. Once they patch it it'll be even better.

Funny thihg, is AO is actually a fantasy themed game that had everything renamed to sound it futuristic. Sitting on leech hill watching heckler kitters is not what i call depth and customization. Worst game ever.
I hate it when people say "worst game ever" I would be willing to bet you call every game you don't like "worst game ever".
In response to Beatbox: First off, I will grant you that the Shadowlands expansion brought a fantasy feel into the game with it. However, SL is an expansion which only added new areas and lore, it did not replace the core of the game, which is sci-fi. Also, when I talk about depth and customization I am referring to implants, skills, tradeskills, quest, missions, and more types of armor and weapons than in any other game I have played. However, since I can see from your signature that you have played "everything" I'm sure you ran across a couple of games which had more and would be more than willing to enlighten us. And since you brought up Hecklers, I assume you either played the 14 day trial or actually paid for the game? If you paid for it, my only logical assumpition since you couldn't think of anything but the Hecks to base your dislike on is that you are what those of us who actually play the game refer to as a heck-n00b who only kills hecks all through the game to level up quickly and then gets his ass handed to him by every mob and player because he doesn't know the first thing about controlling his character against anything or anyone but hecks. It would also explain why you don't seem to know about the multitude of features in the rest of the game. Tell me, how close am I? Oh, and please do qualify your signature by listing every game you've played. I look forward to a succinct catalogue of every game ever made, since you have played "everything".
Heroes of Might and Magic V is coming this week. I more or less read about it, I see that reviews are praising it and comparing it to the 3rd...I wanna play and I want to experience it for myself...but waiting to buy it (I know some evil creatures are playing now the full release version and didn't pay for, but I believe in paying for what I enjoy...and at worst I will find it okay, at best I will be playing it for months on a non-stop mode...).
I am also hyped about BioWare finally making a MMORPG, a real RPG company in the field...I know this is FAR in time...but...I know it is going to be good and change the MMOs world in a nice way that no MMOs devs could have consider, since they are not RPG makers. *tease evilly*

Doing CoV as well, but am about to stop. Resisting a slight desire to hit WoW again but I won't be back there for a while (Meaning perhaps the new expansion). Was going to try The Saga of Ryzom, but got turned of by it in the forums.
HoMMv does sound good, but after Oblivion which was ok, I am going to wait for word of mouth.
Bioware, been waiting for Dragon Age for a Dragon's Age. Can't wait to hear what they are in store for an MMORPG.
Most likely, I will be spending the summer writing and testing some code of my own.
At the moment I'm trial hopping. Even did bought one, which I'm now regretting.
- Planetside. The trial hooked me in for my first "free" levels and I just needed to continue. I bought it. Then it dawned on me how much I just suck at the game. The part that blows is that all of the people that are playing, have played for a very long time. This hurts the newb in the fact that its hard to train and get better when you're constantly getting pwned. On a side note, I swear there is some hacking going on in that game. The last time I checked when you're constantly strafing behind an enemy with a mini-chaingun, that gun shouldn't be able to hit you... yet it did. So I'm going to quit it when the month is up.
- Saga of Ryzom. Tried out the trial on that one. I wanted to see how far it came from the beta. Not much changed from the start. I don't know what the later game is like, but the newb island or whatever it is that you start at seemed pretty much the same. The lack of people that I seen and feeling of bordem made me quit.
- EQ2. I just got a letter in the mail from Sony asking me to come back for 10 free days to see how much better the game is. So I'm currently downloading the patch. I already know that I'll end it after my free days but I just need something to pass my time.
I'm waiting for Vanguard, DnL (end of this month I believe? woot!), and Spore. Yes, I know Spore isn't an MMO, but it looks damn fun! :P
I also have my beta app in almost all of the games that I think look good.
If anyone knows of other trial (besides EVE, AO, and Shadowbane) send me a PM. I would highly appreciate it.
I'm not playing any MMO at all. But hey, Vanguard sounds nice....a brand new idea, so cool that Microsoft kicked it to the curb! Let's see, it's revolutionary....a game based on medieval themes, with Elves, Dwarves, and such. You'll be doing something completely revolutionary, like fighting with swords, shields, and spells.
It has this entirely unprecedented combat model! How it works is, you'll have tanks absorbing damage, wizards and rogues delivering damamge, and clerics healing damage!! Dude, isn't that just the most new thing you've ever seen?
Screw Vanguard, and screw every other game that uses that same, tired, pathetic, worn out, last decade kind of crap.
Let's face it people, the age of computer gaming has come and gone. If we were talking about music, we'd be in the 70's when "Kung Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas was the hit song. Lame, sad, shallow, pathetic. We're waiting for the 80's music to hit the scene and shake everything up. But I hold out no hope that the gaming industry will ever achieve a rebirth.
It's all about profit now, and there's this big economic power that's pulling all the strings. Unfortunately, that economic power is in the form of juveniles in the 14 year old demographic, who control mommy's VISA card. Which explains why all the current games are so craptastic. They are just what 14 year old cheat-code enthusiasts want.
Taking a break from EVE after 6 months, played 3 days L2 official full of bots and farmers, so now i play AO. Waiting Tabula Rasa, Vanguard and Warhammer.
EVE since Beta and DDO, just maxed my first toon out in it so slowing down a bit and playing more EVE again.
Keeping an eye on Stargate Worlds but not interested in Star Trek. That game will likely be as boring as the shows had become, no thanks.
Have played most of the MMO's out in either beta or release format at some point, will never touch WoW/EQ1&2 or any repackaged, regurgitated bland crap like them again.
World of Warcraft and Dark Ages of Camelot. I just can't leave the RvR scene in DAOC but WOW is just a fun, good looking, kick back and play for a little while MMO. That's a breath of fresh air.
I'm playing Auto Assault, though I'd cancelled my subscription once before I ended up renewing it. As MMOs go, it made a very poor first impression on me. The character customization is terrible (read: about the same level as EQ1 at launch), and the character animation is even worse, both of which are pretty important features to me (I like to to feel my characters are a good representation of my personality). Gripes aside, it's all kinds of fun to play (and to be fair, you do spend most of your time in your car). Since I don't enjoy pvp, I really doubt it'll be a long-term home for me, but it'll keep me busy for several months. Who knows, maybe in several months they'll have some stuff for even a softie like me to do in the "endgame," though I'm not going to hold my breath on that one.
Anyway, the game is a pleasant change of pace from the usual MMO fare; it's not everyday you find a game where you advance your character almost entirely through [interesting!] questing and still blow up buildings with your green Scooby Doo "Mystery Machine" van (or in my case, a pink Jeep-like thing). While combat occurs in a real-time sort of twitch mode, even someone with my horrible reaction time does well enough. It doesn't take a whole lot of tactical knowledge to roll over a pedestrian with a 2-ton truck, especially when it's bristling with guns and spikes. Best of all, my insurance doesn't go up when I crash into buildings; the buildings just fall down.
For anyone thinking of trying it, though, I'd probably suggest waiting until after the first big patch, which is going through QA testing now. The list of what's in it appears to fix a lot of the gaps in missions, improve drop rates for crafting materials, and enhance other such quality-of-life things. As games go, it's also not especially social, though I tend to agree with an argument made which attributes this to the fact that you pretty much always have your hands on the controls, so there isn't a great deal of time for chatting unless you purposely pull into a safe area to make time. Really, though, I find that no matter the length of my list of complaints, the game's overall fun factor is high enough to counter most of my problems.
Summing up for people who don't want to read three paragraphs of unecessary words: I'm playing Auto Assault. Auto Assault = Fun > Flawed.

I am currently subscribed to EvE online.
Although I am not actually playing it. (just logging in occasionally to set skill trains)
So in reality I'm playing nothing and am quite bored to be honest.
Bought Oblivion to kill some time but can't bring myself to play that game anymore after about 6 hours worth of play.

CoV
But I am mostly playing non-MMO.

Recently quit DAoC after 4 years because of the low populations, tired of the imbalance and incompetence of Mythic.
Playing EVE Online now, loving it. For those curious about EVE, try the free 14 day trial.
Waiting for Tabula Rasa
