During today's Xbox 20th Anniversary stream, the team at Microsoft reminisced on some of the things that have made the console special over the last 20 years. Inarguably, the staying power of the console can be attributed largely to the legendary Halo series, something not lost on Microsoft today. To celebrate the milestone, the team at 343 Industries have launched the multiplayer portion of Halo Infinite today, with the campaign still to come on December 8th.

    The state of gaming is so sad that we have to celebrate being able to beta test for FREE, something that companies are making us pay for.

    Good times when alpha and beta build usued to cost millions of dollars to companies to test with professional QA companies, now they make money out of it and still launch their games on a sorry state.

    As far as I remember, the multiplayer portion of the game will remain completely FTP. Only the single player campaign portion will be pay-to-play/restricted to Gamepass.
