Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker launches in a week, and given all the server congestion and trouble that Square Enix has seen for FFXIV this year, they have some warnings for players and some steps that they have already taken in order to ease the launch and beyond.

    It'll be interesting this time around since each expansion has had pretty high traffic at the start. With the game gaining so much more popularity, it'll probably be pretty slow progressing at least for the first week. I'm sure some of us remember Rahbahn and Pipin (Savage) from Stormblood.

    ok umm i godda comment to the guy saying he's sticking with wow....
    dude i just logged into wow..
    just to take a peek an just as i thought man...
    its almost a ghost town.
    but FF14 is gonna be so bad trying to log in on launch day
    man i can already see the long ques.

    EW pre-ordered so Friday it is. No doubt there'll be the cannot log in etc etc posts, but you get that in any popular expansion or launch.
    At least there's an mmo that has to deal with these issues. Others are either dying or ghosts towns.

    Only concern I have is there isn't a great auto-afk-logout for people who aren't doing anything that can't be defeated with an auto clicker. Once people are in, nobody is leaving.

    You dont even need a clicker, there are plenty of ways to remain in game while you are afk.

    Dang when you realize that progression within in a level is going to be reset and you were almost 79 sigh
