This game is free? I may download it on the xbox tonight an check it out. I want to say this is a game I thought about playing and I was all in on it until I talked to my brother who was trying to sell me on it. One of his bragging rights was how much money he spent and without asking gifted me a 100$ pack. I felt bad but I never even bothered installing after that

It's worth giving it a shot. It won't be everyone's cup of tea, but it's a great game with a solid company backing it. I've put well over 1k hours into the game, close to 2k, since alpha.

Before Summer they officially announced they are working on it. God knows when it will be implemented though.
DE is notorious for slow development. So if Cross-progression gets implemented sometime Q3/Q4 next year I would be impressed.

No, not for slow development, for getting it right before releasing it. As a software developer I resent hearing people say "slow development" especially when the other side of the coin would be complaining about how it's broke, after rushing release.

You don't have to spend a penny to enjoy the full breadth of the game. If you are impatient and want all the toys you spend the money, but that is the players choice. One of the best shops in a great free to play game today.

yeah game is free, and very f2p friendly, you can trade your in game items for premium currency in game, you dont need to buy anything with premium currency, except inventory space

With slow I mean, that they prioritize monetization updates above all else. Everything else is secondary.

Cross progression doesn't directly bring money in their coffers as say a new Warframe release.
So it's on the bottom of their priority list.

As someone with over 2500 hours played over the years, I HIGHLY recommend any new player thinking of buying or using platinum (the real money currency) to use it to buy warframe and weapon slots.

Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?

Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

Free? Well it is one of the free-est f2p. You can grind just about anything (over time), and if you like the game, the grind won't feel bad since you are having fun doing it.
Invenory space (more warframes, weapons, mods, etc) is what you "need" to buy at some point, but that point could be hndreds of hours down the progression line - Theoretically you can grind it all by selling stuff to other people, but this will require a lot of knowledge and a LOT of time ... the other way to stay free is to not care about having ALL the stuffs and this is actually possible because it is the very horizontal and theoretically no weapon is better than others (well they are but the meta is a everchanging).

It is a deceptively simple game on the surface, but it is like an iceberg, only 10% is visible while the rest is hidden in forum/wiki meta (the game itself does not help you or inform you about most of its deeper mechanics).

Personally I enjoyed the game for 1000+ hours, spend 30$ on currency when on sale (I only ever buy inventory, because I only enjoy things in games that I earned by playing..I am the nightmare of f2p devs). The later content they have released over the past two years..not a fan, but the core game is still one of the best in any game ever (subjective).

yeah i used to be a huge fan of this game, and played since beta even just simple mission rewards you can sell for enough plat to buy slots

Warframe and FFXIV are the only two live-service/online games i truly care for now, both for a multitude of reasons.
