I have never experience MMORPG expansion release unnoticeable as was Endwalker. There was no community events, nothing. Even streams didn't bother streaming it. Atleast no more than they usually stream. It's like there even was no release.

They're not in a position where they have to. In fact, they've stopped sales for the moment. It would be nice, I totally agree, but from a 'get butts in the seats' perspective, there is no need. The seats are full.

not being able to use furniture or have any apartment as free trial really sucks, i hope the new personal home thing lets us do it, and fixes their housing plot system

Sorry, but how entitled to you think you are? Dont take this the wrong way. But you have multiple expansions for free- what more do you want?

The reason why FFXIV is dead (almost as dead game on twitch), is because of the story. Not everyone is keen to be spoiled just by watching others playing. Say if someone was streaming GoT and he is on episode 7, and you haven't watched anything yet will you be watching his stream? Hm? Doesn't make any sense, right? Same goes for FFXIV and hence why isn't "popular" there.
Also FFXIV doesn't need events. The ppl in this games are the "event", they organize everything, including events, many, many of them you just don't know it, yet... it seems.
