RS6 is a fine game and quite innovative even though FPS siege has a long history in gaming. I have no idea what to make of this, three man does seem a bit minimalist?

Ubisoft open world games are an evolution, if your looking for revolution your looking at the wrong publisher.

I enjoy pretty much all their open world games but finish very few of them.

I blame that on the writers, not the mechanics.

Agree with @laserit; Ubi makes solid shooters.  The Division 2 is a great TPS, it just suffers from a rather mundane (in terms of video games) setting that made escalating the big threat in a believable way very difficult.

I'd like to see a new open world IP based on Division/R6 gunplay that included a truly enjoyable villain threat that allowed for unique encounters.

Clear sign of how dead the MMO genre is. Rainbow 6 articles on MMORPG.com. Sad. :(

I think FC6 might be my favorite Ubi game yet and I hope they build on the formula.

    It's so Immersive :)

edit: I make my own rules and Boomer comes with me everywhere I go ;)

I'd like an open world Tom Clancy game borrowing some designs and mechanics from Far Cry and Assassin's Creed and Ghost Recon Wildlands (only first person instead of third). It could be totally single player and I'd be happy, but I'd prefer a persistent world multiplayer where I could rent a server with my friends and we could logon anytime and play.
    Me too

I'd just like to own my server. If the game shuttered, I want to be able to keep my server going.

This is what I love about the way most survival types work right now. Let's take 7D2D as an example since we've talked about it a little.

For $15/mo (an mmo sub) I rent a 10 slot server from G-Portal (I've used another service too). There are a lot of hosting provider options. They provide a seamless web-based install. I can configure the server to my liking, install mods, and my friends can donate to the account, through a link, and share the costs. This hosting service also provides seamless installs for the most popular full-conversion mods, which is a fairly common feature among providers.

So, for the cost of a sub I have a ton of configuration control and a persistent world. This is now what I look for in multiplayer games. I'm not sure if this fits Ubisoft's business model but I can dream.

Sometimes we do host games on our local machines for the rest to connect to but performance suffers because residential networking and even a powerful PC can struggle to both host the server and run a client and then pipe that all through a single NIC on a residential router with a family sharing the pipes.
I've used that too, but I've got so much damn hardware lying around, I'd like to use it on something ;)
