I'd love it to be a full scale diablo MMO but it won't be. As Datastar said, it will be a garbage MTX mobile game or NFT "game". Unless Microsoft steps in and makes Blizzard a complete separate entity again, and hires talent back to their company, there is no way they'll produce another quality game again...ever.
I'm sure at least one of these unannounced projects will be a mobile game or at the very least cross-platform, but I do think they'll announce a 'real' title as well. Microsoft did make it clear on 2 fronts that they hope the acquisition will expand their mobile portfolio but they also want more gamepass titles as well. Lets keep in mind that ESO is still technically owned by Microsoft and still has its own mmorpg elements, so nothing wrong with having some positivity with this company.
Think the writing pretty much on the wall here. Majority of games going forward will be for all their platforms, mobile, X-box, and PC. With PC only as very small chance.
As to NFT's.. I am not sure. I would consider Bliz's card type games the prequel to NFT's anyhow. So they are sorta on the edge of doing those already. I am not sure if Microsoft/bliz would consider NFT games for the simple reason that they like to market and control the hell out of their games.
Seems too much of the NFT after markets are on way too many areas to control the income like they like to do. If they were to want to go onto those markets would expect to see them do some acquisitions in those areas way before any games for them to be made/financed.
Microsoft has always been about acquiring smaller entities to enhance their products and control them as much as possible before launching them. NFT gaming is still too new and uncertain in many peoples heads, let alone trying to make games around it. Just do not think they would put their brand on the line at this time.
Starcraft Mobile Iddle Hero or some shit like that , don't hype too much . Blizzard forgot how to make video game long time ago , now they are just doing remastered and mobile game.

This is old news. You can even see concept art on this game. Its a new fantasy IP and its been in the works for years. Blizzard is just letting a little about it leak now that they know the new direction for the company. mmorpg.com is over 2 weeks behind the 8 ball here.
Oh ho, someone clearly didn't bother to read the article before posting a snarky reply. Bet they feel silly now.
"There are some rumblings at Blizzard due to a new job posting looking for a lead content designer for an unannounced project. While Blizzard recently announced a survival game this job listing is looking for someone to work on an established IP."

They posted another article about that. Blizzard is making a new survival IP. But they are also make a new game for an existing IP which is what this post is about.
Well, since they aren't announcing it, let me hypothesize. I am guessing its a mobile game, where you enter a suite. You then invite others to your suite and try to solve the mystery of the lost banana. The games name will be Cradle Of Sick Blizzard Yankers.
Could you imagine the hype if they announced World of Warcraft II? It would register on a Geiger counter lol.
I'd prefer they announce a StarCraft MMO, heck, I'd probably try it even if on mobile.
NFT'S though....non starter.
I don't know why they don't do anything with that IP. 2 games in 24 years.

Well you'd have most of Korean fans signing up in a heartbeat... plus me and a crap load of westerners.
When they launched Starcraft 2... Blizzards tagline was "Well, it's about Da#n Time".
Easily a 20m launch seller for a MMORPG.
Edit - Starcraft 1- I bought in store and was sold-out. This was before US gaming companies understood the potential markets for games internationally (understandably... 1990s was on the starting edge of global markets).
We have multiple factions - humans vs humans, Protoss, and evolving Zerg. Even zerg vs zerg... and Protoss vs Protoss.
And don't rock the cash cow of WoW... some students of "cannibalism of product lines" took it too much to heart.

Although as I recall, in both StarCraft games the humans bordered on being a bit "insensitive" as they had a tongue in cheek, southern red neck air about them, were even called the confederacy or something like that maybe?

I honestly don't care what it is. But the one property that needs the most love is probably Starcraft. RTS games are really out at this point though.
An RTS-RPG hybrid would also work. Would love to see something like that in the SC universe.

Perhaps that's the problem.
They're portrayed positively from what I've been exposed to, but the Confederacy flag takes a little too much inspiration from the real Confederate flag to not go unnoticed.
Not sure why Blizz would have made them look so similar, it obviously invites rather bad comparisons.

I personally prefer the Turn base with Real time combat of the total War series. But Starcraft did a much better job at telling stories.
