"What they're looking to do is pare down some of these things in order to basically get out of players' way...like reducing the cost of azoth travel, reducing recovery time at an inn, and other improvements that should make the experience smoother."

"The February update will have better weapons from caches, more expertise bump chances, faction tokens, and an overhaul of the scoring."

Does anyone remember that the main issue players had was that it was not easy enough? This is a bad move and it is being made relatively soon after launch. Not only that, but if you reduce content (and yes getting from A to B is content) what are you putting in to replace it?

The focus on bugs does seem good, but other posters have mentioned that there is too much client side to stop duping. If that is true reducing player exploits will be like bailing out with a sieve. Still this may bode well for other bugs and errors.

Eh I hate that term..review bombed....it makes it sound like the games are being falsely given a negative review even when it is justified.

I get this image in my head of a bunch of white knights prancing around a fire in the nude, with only a tin foil hat on, while holding hands and chanting, "Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya" over and over and over!

    :D

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.

Lots of work to be done, there is a decent game somewhere in there if they choose to put in the effort.
I think the effort will be put in, I am just not sure they will have a good game to play at the end of the year. Their choices are questionable so far and partly they have come about by a self inflicted bad launch. My concern is that even if they did not feel the weight of the launch on their back would they be making good decisions?

Not to worry, Amazon Game Studios has a long history of standing by their games.

Sigh.  The way of the world today.  Make everything easier, easier, and easier.  I want more money, cheaper prices, faster travel, cheaper travel.  Bah, why travel, just let me pop up anywhere I want.  We'll call the wilderness, mountains, rivers fly over country.  I think they should just have a giant warehouse where you go, sign for whatever mats you want, take them to the warehouse across the street and give the mats for whatever item you want.

As is, you almost have to try to die for most mobs.  The world is incredibly small and faster travel isn't necessary.

Bah, sorry, just drives me crazy that so many people want easy over challenge.  More and more I've moved to smaller niche games where there are more than a few issues, but still having a blast having a challenge with just about everything that people are asking to be made easier in games like NW

I think NW will never hit to level where you could say it is threat to WoW (even at its worst). Because NW game designers just don't understand what makes MMORPG enjoyable. It was clear year before release. They should have just stick to original concept.
