All rogue/soldier types for Aquilonians/Cimmerians?

verdantrexverdantrex Member UncommonPosts: 100

I can't get into the official forums to post, so I thought I'd post this question here.

Okay, so we know Mages can only be played by Stygians, and the official site's class section lists the various race restrictions for priests.  But... on the soldier and rogue pages, it never says anything about race restrictions for them (other than Soldiers can't be Stygians).

So, my question is... can both Cimmerians and Aquilonians play all 7 rogue and 6 soldier archetypes, or are there restrictions to them as well?  Can you be an Aquilonian Barbarian?  A Cimmerian Zealot?  etc.

Anyone know?

As the restrictions are so firmly noted on the other archetypes, I would guess they can be them all. I would want them to add restrictions though, as an aquilonian barbarian would be very weird, and also Cimmerians shouldn't be those heavy armor types...

Don't know if you've been to this site, or not, but it has many quotes from devs on lots of things. Maybe it's said there somewhere.

Nope, checked there already. : )

The thing is... I seem to remember that at one point, the original archetype chart they had on their site *did* have restrictions for Soldiers (then called Warriors) and Rogues (then called Thieves).  Including Barbarians, like you say.  I agree with you that these types *should* have restrictions.

For example, the description for Defiler says they trained alongside Demonologists, but how can they be anything but Stygian, when only Stygians can be mages/demonologists?
