Story
Typical fantasy world under attack by an evil force(Orcs and dark elves in lunia), you play the roles of either a mage, a princess(healer) or a merc(Knight) who by chance got into the center of all that is happening in the world and have the responsibility of saving the world from the evil forces.
Game play
arcade system, keyboard only input, minimal usage of mouse. unique combo style, possible infinite combos if correct timing of input of basic attack+direction+skills are used
Characters
3 different classes. knight, magician and healer.
pretty much covers all the possible range of combat.
healers would not dominate with attacks but are essential for party combats.
knights can't spam skills but excels in 1v1 combat
magicians excel in middle to long range attacks and are good AoE attackers due to spells but are inferior in melee compared to knights.
Review
Lunia is interesting not because of the storyline or graphics but the unique approach to the game interface. it uses an "arcade" system where combos can be pulled off, meaning not everyone can excel by spamming and a certain level of skill is needed to pull off amazingly high hit combos (99hit infinite combos anyone?). the characters available complement each other and none of them would have a distinct advantage over each other in PvP since potions can't be spammed, even though healers have an advantage in healing, they can't hit hard or fast enough compared to the knights or magicians.
rating:
i give it a 8/10 because of the refreshing control interface. you only can play so many mmorpgs with the SAME combat interface before you get totally sick of playing any games and dig your heart out with a wooden spoon because every mmorpg become the same if their play style is the same regardless of the storyline or graphics.
