    Well lets hope this is actual progress and not find out a few months later that its another spin-off project. How is that first spin-off doing anyway? I honestly forgot it released or was that just a testing phase they put out?

    Well lets hope this is actual progress...
    It doesn't look like there's any actual progress: Most of those ingredients in video are placed in folder AssetsNeeded or NeedsData.

    It's basically another plan of what they're trying to do.

    Oh yeah... and he is sooo busy re-creating backend systems that already exist that he just can't even write his Q! State of Elyria (It's April...).

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    I find it mystifying that they could spend several million dollars and not have anything to show for it.  I could understand having a wildly incomplete game that is a buggy mess.  But nothing that they could push out the door and say, here it is?  Where did all that money go?

    Many theories... from him paying himself and his relatives what he felt was "market rate" to simply ineptitude.  He literally keeps creating things and throwing them out. Well, at least that is his claim.  So far we have had ElyriaMud, VoxEleria, Pre-Eleria, Kingdom of Elyria...probably others I missed.

    I guess the philosophy is to work on something until your ineptitude level is revealed, and then start over with a different base while telling everyone how much you learned and how great THIS version will be.

    I pretty certain that he has something to show for all his efforts.  I'm far less certain that these 'somethings' are related anyhow to gaming assets.

    He reminds me very much of JamesP of Greedmonger infamy, another "developer" trying to build more MMOs while learning as he went along, didn't turn out well there either.

    Yes absolutely.   The only difference IMHO is that James was a horrible public speaker where Walsh uses his psychology degree to appeal to the vulnerability of some listeners.

    My impression was that James was horrible with the public because he was being honest.
    I will take 10 James over one single Caspian.
    Caspian and his spins on views remind me a lot of the head of HR at my work.
    Always finding a way to put the blame on others...

    Well… he’s gone this far so I guess he kind of has to ride it out to the end of the lawsuits.  I’m pretty sure the Russian “businessman” who called him from Xsolla explained the alternatives to him…
