It's a terrible system tbh. Should have just made it dynamic or phased. Every game these days with open world (or semi open world like ffxiv) housing is a mess sadly because everyone wants a house and there is only ever so much space.

SWG had it, but you had a whole planet, and again people fought over the best spots; though you could almost always find a place to set down. Yes housing along with harvesters were an eyesore to some in Galaxies, but at least you could find something. Games these days are worse for housing since the maps are small and housing plots are limited compared to the amount of people wanting a housing plot.

Maybe they should just make a big map specifically for open world housing.

Ancient engine won't allow the bigger map.

Their investigation has discovered where the error happens.

"After investigating this issue, we discovered that, while the server responsible for conducting the lottery is functioning as intended, the results are not being properly relayed to the servers responsible for managing housing-related data".

So it appears that the housing winners are known, with the fault being the communication to the lottery participants.

its been like 5 years and they still havent worked this out, clearly the whole non-instanced thing was a mistake. can't wait til their personal island thing happens, maybe my free trial account will be able to actually use furnishings then

I always found it ironic that even the game's producer says they mean for us to take breaks from the game now and again, but if you do, your house is gone, along with everything in it.

Its a terrible, stupid system in an otherwise amazing game.

Well, a break from the game isn't by necessity the same as a break from subscription. You are apparently expected to keep that going if you want to keep your house.
