Unfortunately not really. 468.7 average players in the last 30 days and 911 peak.

In terms of community it seems it's just the worst kind left over if you check the games reddit page. It's a saltmine.

It's really sad because the game had so much potential. I've played it with 3 friends at launch and the first month was a lot of fun (despite those nasty server problems they had) where we even had a lot a small skirmishes with other small groups, but as it's always with such games later on you either join the locust swarms or you die.

I really wish the devs well in their endeavor to revitalize the game. I would definitely give it another try if there'd be reason enough to do so.

Devblogs on devblogs but without regular or substantial patches I don't think the game will un-dead.

The devs seems to try to negate themselves from having to deal with player feedback loops, 5 years later, and a once a year patch simply won't cut it.

I get all the work they're putting in but imo, you need to be patching every 2 weeks to month and balance and adjust accordingly.

The most disappointing thing is getting a once per season patch, riddled with exploits, that only surmounts to like 5 lines of patch notes with no follow up.

Tldr; open yourselves up to regular feedback through consistent and regular development.

I'm glad to hear they're going to put more focus into PvE. When they first introduced the game there was a lot of phrasing that made it seem like PvE was going to be the focus, with PvP being in but not the main feature. Between it becoming a PvP focused game and the inability to have dedicated servers (not rented) that were not single map my group of friends quickly lost interest.

With a switch to focusing on PvE and a rework of the walkers we might check it out again.

    Four years in "early access"?

    Sigh.

I'd be thrilled playing an PvP oriented MMORPG single COMPANY server with 900 concurrent players at peak times.

Salem / Haven & Hearth and WWIIOnline (Battleground Europe) game worlds would be bustling with activity with 900 concurrent.
